Hello Fellow Creator! Summer travels are complete and it looks like a good stretch of creation ahead for the Fall. This is a very creative time of year for me. How's it look for you? If you'd like to step it up, check out today's Creativity for Humans session at 4PM Pacific IRL and online, or join us Wednesday morning at 8AM Pacific for the Kindred Quest. These are challenging times and more than ever, we need each other to realize our imaginings. Problem is we've been trained to do it alone. But that's not how it has to be. You see that now. That's why you're here. Raise your spirits and your work. Join us this week and go deeper on your own Technology of Imagination. Your future self will thank you. Only love Dave PS.These images below are the first two pages in my latest sketchbook. The first image is how I felt mired in the muck of my doing everything alone. The second image is the transmutation of all that muck into a great pearl of creation when I know I am not the story and I have friends and a community that supports me.

We had a great session yesterday afternoon with our fabulous model Shanna. We had nine folks online and three in the studio. I spoke a little about how this is really more about seeing that it is about drawing. We use this sacred space to bridge the gap between the subject and the object, between the seer and the seen. It's more than looking at a model, it's a way to be present to your life. We also spoke about how to hack past your thoughts and draw from the heart. Come by next time and I'll show you how to do that. Here are a few of my drawings from the session as well as the color pastels from the amazing Angelo DiNallo. If you were there and would like to share, please feel free! This was our first session together so it's perfectly ok to start where you are.
