This is what democracy looks like...
Hello Creator! Another week of creating is about to unfold before us. What will you build? Last week I was in Washington DC at the "We Are The Founders" conference put on by Policy Link. 2500 folks from all walks of life and all disciplines coming together to talk about Democracy for All. It was so encouraging in these strange and dark times. Ya gotta know that people are doing some great work for life on Earth. This week we're back on for the Creativity for Humans live costumed model session on Monday at 4PM Pacific and we'll have a short session for our Kindred Quest call on Wednesday at 8AM Pacific. Bring your challenges and creations and together let's move the needle on what's important for you and a better world. Now is the time friend. Now is the time. Here are some shots and creations from my trip. And Yes, that is indeed Jon Baptiste who played at the event and yes, that's a digital study of a Rembrandt self portrait from the National Gallery of Art and yes, those are my hands behind the orchestra where I contributed several short animated interludes for the debut of the Democracy Concerto. Check the calendar at the link above join us this week! Enjoy and onward and upward! Artfully yours Dave

@Zander Hs I’m open to a detente. We will rename Fresno to “Fresnow” as a concession for our newly christened Lake America.
MoMoMotivation
Thank you, Dave, for composing the beautiful belief lattices, which correlate with Technology of the Imagination. I see how Action and Knowledge continually circle the world of possibilities. My burning Q is: what thoughts motivate someone to action to learn to change to grow to communicate to overcome fear, to recognize depression, to See, to Act, to Learn? Are thoughts energy, our life force?

The thing is, changing your future by changing today is not so clean as people say. "Just change your belief and change your life!" It doesn't always work that way. But the good news is you can start anywhere. Today is crafted by yesterday's beliefs, knowledge, actions and the world. Tomorrow is crafted the same way. So start wherever you can. Clean your room and move your bed. Make a change to your physical world first. You will think differently. Your thoughts come from a lattice of your making. Change the lattice around. Slowly. Small at first. But be consistent. Keep moving downstream. And lastly, not sure about the idea of overcoming fear. Fear is a necessary human emotion that serves us. One thing to do with it, is to use it to recognize what we're afraid of losing. That's the root of fear. Once you can identify what you're afraid of losing, you can discern what it is that you love, and make choices to support what you love. That's the way to use fear to add more love to your life.

Lastly lastly, here’s the best way to change your tomorrow: make some art today.
Stay close to the work
Even if it's someone else's! This week I had a chance to go the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC to see my friends. Yes, I joke that they are all dead but we have engaging conversations anyway. We talk about art and life and light and love. It's really wonderful. And I do some drawings and paintings of their work while we chat. Here are the results of that. How are you staying close to the work? Please share. I'd love to know!

Off this week!
Hi friend! I’ll be in Washington DC this week at the Policy Link conference called We are the Founders all about structures for a future of democracy for all. I won’t hold any calls this week but I’ll be available and will likely share some of the cool stuff going on, especially the animation I made for the premier of the Democracy Concerto debuting at the end of the week. Lots of cool things a-foot for our kindred quest! Have a wonderful week! The Mechanics of Belief
I just dropped my thoughts on the mechanics of belief in my Classroom for you. Belief is one of the Universal Laws of Creativity but you can't just believe and make it so. In this brief talk, we explore the structures of why you believe what you believe, why people don't change and how you can use your structures to change things in your life for good. Check it out. Also, check the calendar. I'll be out of town at a conference next week and we won't have any sessions the week of August 25th. Enjoy and see you on the flip! Artfully yours Dave

@Henry Riekena Good stuff Henry. Finding others to quest with is the way forward in our time. We not only need the inspiration, but others may have access to resources for us we never knew were possible. It's good you're here to expand your circle. That's where the change lives.
