For years, I’ve been trying to get my head around building an online business. I’ve taken more courses than I can count and followed “experts” who insisted their way was the best, only, perfect path to success. I did learn a lot. I even built my own app. But it never felt right, and I just became more confused and frustrated. Through my divorce and a cancer diagnosis, I made a conscious decision to retreat. For about 3 years, I stopped listening to anyone and everyone else and got quiet. And that changed everything. I could finally hear myself. And I started to notice what actually aligned with who I am and who I am becoming. That’s when Skool showed up in my life and I took a massive risk and completely pivoted. I changed my niche, closed down my app, and focused with crystal clear clarity on what *I* truly want to build. I don’t love funnels or hustle culture. I love community. Hey there! 👋 I’ve been meaning to post in here for ages, but life has a habit of getting in the way, but today I remembered - just! 🤗 So, while it’s still Monday, I wanted to share one of the little Mindful Monday moments I create for the mums in my community. 🧘‍♀️ Every week I record a short (around two-minute) mindful moment. They’re not meditations, per se, they’re simply a chance to pause, take a breath and reconnect with yourself. Then, you can return to whatever you’re dealing with with a little more calm and clarity. Lonely. That's the word I see most in members' answers to my community questions. Not sometimes, consistently. And I totally get it. I had my children in countries where I knew no one, with no family around and a husband who worked 14 hour days. Expat life is an adventure and it can also be extremely isolating. But that's only part of the story. Expat mums are totally bad ass, even when it doesn't feel like it. We move countries, rebuild our lives from scratch, raise children between cultures, often without friends or family nearby, or anyone who truly gets it.
