Great playlist! I'm listening to it now :) I'd love to start this program in January, tbh I haven't looked at it yet, I'm still beat from Zumba instructor training this weekend and then I went and danced right after!

The first song that energizes me sometimes when nothing else will: "Pump it Up" from The Substance. As cool as that song is, I can't/won't ever watch that movie again. It was one and done, and there's a bit of a story behind that. The next one is "Little Bird" by Annie Lennox. It's one of my favorite dance routines one of my troupes is working on, into 2026.

If you mean The Substance: I love horror, but that was on another level. I saw it by myself in the theater, and I thought I was going to be sick on the floor by my seat a few times. Thankfully I didn't! The DreamBirds' signature routine is to "Little Bird," and I love it sooo much!

My first (and only) boyfriend was my best friend who was the only (known) gay boy in our high school at the time. We both came from very bigoted and homophobic households, so we were really the high school equivalent of a lavender marriage. It was our school's biggest open secret, but so many of our peers were supportive even back then, so I'm grateful for that.
