@Dennis Wichter no, I don't think so. when we first moved here we had a huge cat and she thought she could take one on and it tore her up bad. She was terrified of them for the next 12 years till she past away. had one rat I hit 4 times with a 22 before gave up.
If We depend completely on Home-Grown Edibles...
With the years of drastic climate change, was thinking how would the life be if we wouldn't depend on supply chain, and instead, grow our edibles, organically, for our food? Would love to know your thoughts?

I am already on this path. There is very little Veg, herbs or tea that I buy form the store. The only thing I get are just more of what I grow because I haven't quite reach that goal. I buy a few lb. of potatoes, onions, tomatoes and corn to top off what I already grow. I grow ALL my berries and am working on fruit and nut trees now. My foraging fills in mushrooms, greens and seeds
