Day 4 - focus on Commitment Statement
SUPPLEMENTAL POST · DAY 4 The Commitment Statement Why Writing It Changes Everything for Empaths I'm sharing this here because I went through so many blocks before getting to the point of understanding the power of writing it down with details and precision. It makes all the difference! Remember -- An affirmation is something you say. A commitment is something you decide. There is a gap between those two things that most people who carry a healing gift never cross. And that gap is where so much potential quietly disappears. When you write a commitment statement with your name on it, signed and dated, naming the specific practice you will do — not someday, but this month — you are creating a record of a decision. The nervous system registers that differently than a repeated phrase. Something in you knows the difference between a wish and a promise made to yourself in writing. Structure is what most sensitives resist. Somewhere along the way, they absorbed the idea that structure closes the gift down. I used to think this because I thought walking this path was meant to be solitary! I was in fear mostly of being seen. I learned that structure is what lets the gift move without you collapsing in the process. The journal question that follows the statement matters just as much. Where in my life have I felt the cost of untrained sensitivity? Sit with it honestly. Not as self-criticism. As clarity. What you find there becomes the real reason you keep the commitment. Not motivation borrowed from the outside. Understanding that comes from within. The kind that holds when things get difficult as they will. What I know after years of this work is that every sensitive person who made the shift from surviving their gift to working with it has one thing in common. There was a moment. It looked quiet from the outside. And with just a pen. A page. A name. But that moment was a door. And on the other side of it, things that felt impossible before — steadiness, discernment, the ability to help without losing yourself — began to become real.

It is true that I have resisted structure throughout my life. I believed routine is boring. I operated under the belief that change and novelty were my strength, and perhaps they are. However, without the structure that discipline grows from, inconsistency and the tendency to be distracted from what really matters becomes my reality. Today I commit to a daily practice of studying, experiencing, or teaching Ashtanga Yoga, leveraging daily self-practice of Reiki to lessen overwhelm and burnout when they arise. Thank you for helping me to recognize where I am causing myself to stumble, Anthony. Much love and appreciation to you 💛🙏🏼❤️‍🔥🙏🏼🧡
Building the Foundation for Healing
As you work with the Sacred Healing Journey, remember what you are building, what we are building. The skill and practice of energetic sovereignty is foundational because it brings us back together into the connection that's been missing. Daily practices provide structure that are like building blocks and give you the stability needed for your personal healing. No matter where you are on the journey -- at the beginning, somewhere that feels like the middle, or you start and stop then start again. It's discipline and practice that will build something strong for you to stand on. The sovereignty we are building is meant to exist inside a web of connection, not in isolation. Isolation is where we've been sitting and hiding from our wounds. Bringing all of this into the light for healing and transformation means taking steps to get there. Where are you today ? What steps are missing and what steps are working? Do you need more practice with grounding? More practice with simply witnessing? Maybe your're ready to name your gift but haven't crossed the threshold? No judgment here. Action interrupts any discomfort. What actions - What Sacred Actions are you taking today. Even the smallest step is a step! Post your comment below. Big Blessings and Peace for you today..🩵🔥💙

This morning I was reminded how powerfully childhood conditioning can pull me out of sovereignty and bring me back to those stories of helplessness and playing the victim. Every time I witness and challenge those old worn-out beliefs my healing is reinforced. The discomfort of this confrontation can feel overwhelming in the moment, but it is always worth it.
Day 3 - Observe - Don't Absorb
Day 3 Supplemental Material Something interesting about sitting in silence. Most people expect silence to feel peaceful. You sit down. You close your eyes. You take a breath. And then it starts. That restlessness. The pull to check something, do something, be somewhere else. That sudden awareness of every thought you’ve been outrunning all week. That's what quiet rooms do. They tell the truth. Big time! This is why the witness breath practice on Day 3 can feel uncomfortable. Not because something is wrong. But because something is finally being allowed to surface. Something is being seen. And for a lot of us, that's not something we've had much practice with. Many of us learned early on to keep moving. Keep yourself busy. Just push through. Stillness wasn't safe for us. Quiet meant you'd have to feel what was underneath. And we didn’t want to go there. Because what was underneath wasn't always welcome — not by the people around us, and eventually not even by ourselves. So over time we got good at noise. It’s not just external noise. It’s the internal kind. The kind that keeps you productive enough to never have to sit with yourself for five full minutes. And many of us get really good at it. But here's what I want you to understand about what's happening in the practice right now. The discomfort isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. The discomfort is the doorway. When you sit down and witness yourself — just you, your breath, five minutes — and something stirs, that stirring is information. It's not the past punishing you. It's not proof that you're broken or that this path isn't for you. It's simply you, meeting the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be seen. Some of you are going to witness grief. Some of you will witness exhaustion you didn't know you were carrying. Some of you will catch a glimpse of something else entirely — a version of yourself that doesn't look like who you've been pretending to be. A version that's quieter, more grounded, more whole.

I notice that after a few moments of inward attention my body softens and my consciousness drifts into a state of hypnogogia. It will be a practice for me to stay in conscious awareness as I continue to practice being the witness. Is this a form of escapism? I'm not sure, but I enjoyed the experience.

I will maintain awareness of the situations where I tend to revert to old habits of riding other's emotional roller-coasters, and remain a neutral but loving observer. I will continue practicing being that witness in meditation and visualization to achieve it in my interactions.
Day 2 The Signs Were Always There
Supplement Material to the Sacred Healers Journey under the classroom tab Make sure and listen to the healing audio that's in the classroom for Day 2 Drop your comments below 💜 What are the signs of a healer? How do you know this is real? I like these questions because our work of Day 2 is really to look back and recognize the signs that were always there - all around us in our life. Many people who carry healing gifts notice early in life that they experience the world differently. ✔️They feel emotions deeply. ✔️They can walk into a room and sense tension before anyone speaks. ✔️They often find themselves listening to people, holding space for others, or offering comfort without really trying. Sometimes they know things they can't explain. This kind of sensitivity can feel confusing. For many people it becomes overwhelming. They start to believe something is wrong with them. But what is often happening is much simpler. You are aware. Your nervous system and intuition are noticing patterns, emotions, and energies that others might ignore. Without training, this awareness can feel like chaos. With training, it becomes one of the most powerful tools a healer can develop. Today is about recognizing the signs that may have always been present in your life. Not as proof that you're special. But as recognition that you may have been practicing awareness long before you had language for it. Take some time today to reflect honestly. You are not trying to convince yourself of anything. You are simply noticing what has already been true in your life.

This was a very emotional topic for me. I grew up in a high demand religion and never felt that I had true autonomy or sovereignty as a being. I was expected to follow the "right" and proper path for a woman and member of that organization. In addition, my caregivers inadvertently shamed and shut down my emotions and I struggled to connect with people since I was always living from a place of pleasing everyone else rather than from my authentic self. I lived in shame continuously and did not recognize that I had any gifts or talents. Looking back, I can see slight hints of my gifts, but they've been deeply buried. I feel driven to discover what I've been missing, but also feel grief that so many years have been lost to my own ignorance.
