Here's a classic hill country blues song by R.L. Burnside. One of the best blues performances i've ever seen. And it's litterally in the guy's backyard ๐ณ https://youtu.be/K_DOnKJ232M?si=LCdEDd7TkUEw2eSW
Thought i'd share this little comment / quote he made on the Dick Cavett show back in the day. For anyone interested, here's the full interview: https://youtu.be/VGf9PTYyJ4A?si=y-PxYlGkeBQQc25q Skip to 4:43 to hear about his practice habits ;) Practice is tough. Even for the best of us. What's the most challenging thing about playing guitar for you these days?
@Clemens Hackmack Worded perfectly mate. I totally agree with you...back in the day it was more celebrated to be raw and authentic than it is today. Natural imperfections like tempo fluctuations, missing notes, string noise etc. were part of what actually made it perfect, and human. In today's world it's very easy to forget people are human, especially when it's so easy to play with less genuinity. With digital technology, the world has set standards so high that anything off the grid is now considered to be not normal.
