Dealership Work
Anyone have contracts with dealerships in your area? How did you reach out ? How much are you charging or what’s the contract? There’s a few small deslers in my area and most their cars have nasty headlights! lol

At one point I had over 30 dealers that I serviced. Some of those only had 1-2 sets of lights they wanted done in 60 days. Lot of these places like to keep newer cars so (in theory) they have to put less $ into them. The biggest thing on getting in the door is knowing what their objections are BEFORE they say them. They all give the same objections. Just worded differently so you CAN figure it out. Took me a few years to get it down to a science. We have a training on it. If ya just wanted to give it a go, just go make an introduction and let em know what you do and that you’d like to help keep their lights clear. If that’s not working, the training would pay for itself after getting your first dealership. $50-$75 per vehicle is common and their expectations are less.
Door to Door
Who on here goes door to door? What's your sales pitch? I dont need a long version just a simple intro and the first few things you say after your introduction. What's your price point that you start at? How many cars are you averaging a day?

@Clayton Byrd that’s awesome! Great learning on doing it the same process as the headlight magic way. That’s the “dont overthink it. It’s just plastic” kicking in. 🤙🏽

One thing I have wanted to do but haven’t yet, whenever I see a car in a neighborhood that needs the lights done, write their address down and what vehicle it was and then mail them something with a hand written note calling out that vehicle and that I’d love to restore their lights. Definitely NOT scalable but I feel it would at least set you apart
Warranty
Hello everyone. Do you provide a warranty? If so, what exactly does the warranty include or cover?

I give a 3 yr warranty. And basically, IF they fade before 3 years, they can bring it back to me and I’ll get em refreshed at no cost. After doing this for over a decade, I used to offer a lifetime warranty up until 2 years ago. I’ve only EVER, as in TOTAL, had 6 warranty claims. Typical is 3-5 years that most people keep their vehicles. Many sadly just forget who you were, but the rest just sell their car.

How much do you want to make?
You are in complete control of how far you take this business. The reality is that about 99% of people doing headlight restoration treat it like a hobby. They do a few cars here and there and never push it any further. But we want you to be the 1%. There are several people in this niche who have turned headlight restoration into serious, life-changing income. This business can absolutely produce $2,000+ per week if the right things are in place. If you're trying to level up, drop a comment and tell me specifically what you're struggling with. And don’t just say “I need more customers.” Tell me the real issue, like: - You have a hard time talking to people - You don’t have a website - You don’t know how to price jobs - You’re nervous approaching dealerships - You don’t know how to get repeat work Let’s actually break down what’s holding you back and figure out why you’re not at $2,000 per week yet — and what we can change to get you there.

@John Shipps In that case, don’t put your hours on the listing. Whenever someone reaches out just schedule a recording. Don’t ask if that’s a good time. Instead ask “would it be ridiculous to it at 6pm on Thursday?” Or “would 6pm on Thursday be a bad time for you?” same outcome but COMPLETELY different psychology behind it. By them telling you no. It’s actually a “yes”. And if it’s not good, they’ll tell you a time that does work. You can make great income doing this “part time” hours.
