@Juliana Melilli Cool. The hardest part about the dry fast was being with a partner at the time who was not supportive. She was making it very difficult, but I kept going because of the information I had read on the subject. I was walking about 3 miles a day and maintaining my normal corporate 9-5 job without any issues. I even travelled to a conference on the last couple days of the fast. I didn't get hungry like I do in the beginning of water fasts, but I did notice it affected the amount of sleep I got. I had so much energy I couldn't sleep more than 3 hours at a time with an hour or two break then another 3 hours, so avg about 6 hours per night. I had worked my way up by first doing 24 hours dry, then waiting a couple weeks then doing 48, then waiting a couple weeks, then 72. Once I got over the psychological/cultural belief that you can't survive longer than 3 days without drinking water (your body breaks down fat and creates metabolic water) it was much easier and then did 11 days. The literature I had read on the subject suggested there is little to no benefit to 12 days ore more, so I stopped at 11. I'll have to check out that book, the one that stood out to me in regards to dry fasting is Starving to Heal in Siberia

@Juliana Melilli absolutely. I find that often the truth is simpler than the alternatives, it just takes a lot of work to rethink the ingrained beliefs
