What Fuels You When Life Starts Life-ing?
This morning reminded me why this community matters so much. At 6 a.m., I was on a call with a potential client, and he asked me one simple question: “Why are you doing this work?” And my answer came quickly: Because I believe everybody is a genius. I believe our genius is medicine. For ourselves and for others, and so we need each other. But another part of my why? I genuinely love meeting dope people and learning from and with them. It invigorates me. It inspires me to keep growing, keep showing up as my best, and continue doing good work because I feel like I’m adding my contribution to the world. Then later today, I met a woman going through an incredibly hard season. Divorce. Arthritis. Car trouble. Life piling on all at once. And yet… she still got up and went to work. Why? Her children. And it hit me: Your “why” is FUEL! Just like a car can’t move without gas, people struggle to keep going when they lose connection to their why. Your why fuels your genius. Your why fuels your resilience. Your why helps you keep moving even when life feels heavy. The point of the story is: People can endure hard seasons when they are connected to something meaningful. The takeaway is: Your genius needs fuel. Stay connected to the reason you started, the people you love, the impact you want to make, and the version of yourself you are becoming. 👇🏾 Reflect with us in the comments: ✨ What is your “why” right now? ✨ What keeps you going during difficult seasons? ✨ What genius are you ready to stop hiding or doubting? ✨ What fuels you when your tank feels low? If no one has told you today: thank you for being you. Your genius is necessary.
