I’m in the office today delivering a personal safety and security course. I’ve gone for a Skopes blue tweed jacket, with a navy Charles Tyrwhitt dress shirt over dark blue Levi’s and a pink/white polo belt. I’m wearing my new Ariat Rambler boots, my Rolex and Terra d’Hermes intense.

My testicular cancer operation was 23 years ago today. I wouldn't have had those 23 years (buying a flat/making films/writing plays/changing career/singing in 2 different choirs/joining the Proper Blokes Club walking group/making lots of new friends) if I hadn't said to a doctor, 'Actually, there is something else ...' Self-checking and 'listening to your body' are good things to do and, hopefully, the days when being stoic and 'not telling anyone' are over. Women have been better than this than men since time began; now men are catching up. Check your bits, guys! Find something? Tell someone.

As a big guy moving to become a more trimmed up figure, how do you select clothes knowing it may not fit you in a few months time. Especially on a tight budget. Do you stick with the current less fashionable more "captain sweatpants meets Jack Black on a trip to Hawaii" style or bite the bullet to look more presentable?

Elegant night day 5 of cruise. Suited up. Some dressed up well many did not even try. Saw alot of folks with both buttons buttoned on the suit jacket.

Pipe band annual ball. Charles Tyrwitt dress shirt with drum cuff links, black Argyll jacket and waistcoats, Dundas tartan kilt, white rabbit fur sporran, blue socks and a bespoke avian dhub. Wore my Rolex and Terre D’Hermes Intense
