@Kevin Montford couple questions for the Nationals Championships competition: 1) Swim - will the race be in a 25 yard , 25 meter , or 50 meter pool. 2) Run - will the running be on a track, grass, dirt, or a combination of different terrains 3) Obstacle - is it be possible to learn which obstacles will be included in the obstacle course during the competition 4) Fencing - what will the format be? One touch against everyone? Or first to 5 touches in 1 minute time 5) Fencing - will there be a bonus round 6) Will there be semi's and finals? Or will it just be one go at the 5 events? Thank you
Clarification on Fencing Format in Modern Pentathlon
Hi everyone, I had a quick question regarding the fencing discipline in Modern Pentathlon. While watching replays of both senior and junior World Cups, I noticed that some of the fencing bouts appeared to follow a format where athletes fence to 5 points within 1 minute—either the first to 5 wins, or the athlete with the higher score at the end of the minute is declared the winner. Is this the official format moving forward for Modern Pentathlon? I'm more familiar with the one-touch used at the Paris Olympics, so I wanted to confirm whether there has been a change in the rules for 2025 and beyond. Any clarification on the current and future fencing format would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Height of target for laser pistol shooting
Hi everyone, I'm having trouble finding the official target height for laser pistol shooting. After using Modern Pentathlon resources, including ChatGPT and online searches, I've found that the target height is 1.4 meters (4.6 feet), with a possible margin of ±0.05 meters. Could someone with definitive knowledge please confirm or correct this? Also, is this measurement to the center of the bullseye, the bottom, or the top of the target? I'm trying to replicate the official setup as accurately as possible for practice. Thank you in advance for your help
