I built an agent that reads the AI landscape for me and scores it against my own rubric
I built an agent that reads the AI landscape every day and hands me back a short brief. The part that makes it mine rather than a newsletter is the rubric, because it scores each item on how useful it is to me, not on how big the news is. What it reads - model releases, regulation changes, what the CEOs are saying, plus the newsletters and accounts I picked by hand. What it does with it - scores every item against a rubric built from my own projects, repos and goals. What I get - a short brief with the useful things at the top and most of it cut. The sources are not a general feed. I chose every one of them, so nothing arrives that I did not put in the list. That alone removes most of the noise before any scoring happens. The rubric is the interesting half. It knows what I am actually building, so a huge release that has nothing to do with my work drops down the page, and a small change that lands on a project I am in the middle of goes to the top. Two people running the same sources would get two completely different briefs. And when something reaches me that should not have, I tell it that and why. The reason goes into the rubric, so the next brief is scored slightly differently. Happy to go into any part of it if it is useful to anyone. [Attached is a sample from today's news brief, just for an example of the kind of stuff that it sends]

@Alex Brown Yes, I would love to see your workflow on this. Any ICM implementation in the stack?

Book Keeper/Accountant /Tax Attorney
I searched through the community to see if anyone posted about the foundation layer of every business: accounting. If I missed a thread on this, please point me toward it! If it hasn't been covered yet, here is what I’m thinking. I'd love to get some ideas on how to design a basic folder setup that every member here could use to kickstart their own accounting department—essentially an ICM Accounting System. I follow a guy on TikTok who leverage trades crypto, which is an absolute accounting nightmare. A member asked him how he handles his taxes, and his answer stuck with me. He said wealthy people rely on three key professionals to minimize their tax burden and preserve long-term wealth: a bookkeeper, an accountant, and a tax attorney, in that exact order. I prompted Gemini for a structure using the ICM methodology framework and got a solid blueprint. Before I take it further: Has anyone else in the group tackled this yet? If not, do you think it would be valuable to build out a basic starter folder structure to share with the group? Just thinking out loud, so I’d really appreciate your input!

@Mark Santelia Yes, the challenge/risk is that when they update, and they update pretty often, they wont provide bug fixes for custom scripts if your code doesn't support the update. I am not a dev person, so I would have had to potentially pay my guy every time it updated.
How Are You Structuring Client Onboarding & Delivery Behind the Scenes?
For those of you already working with AI/automation clients, what does your behind-the-scenes client onboarding and delivery system look like? I understand the discovery side. What I'm trying to build is a clean operational framework for what happens once a client starts moving forward. Specifically, I'm curious how you handle things like: • Client folder/workspace structure • Discovery notes → scope → build handoff • Credentials and access • Client-provided assets/information • Project status and task tracking • Testing and client approvals • Documentation of automations/agents/workflows • Launch/go-live checklist • Training and handoff • Ongoing support/maintenance If you have a standard folder structure, checklist, SOP, or client lifecycle that you actually use, I'd love to see how you've organized it. I'm less interested in the sales process and more interested in the operational infrastructure that keeps a client engagement organized from discovery through handoff.

@Leonard Dauksza "..actual client lifecycle where each engagement moves through defined states..." Yes this is exactly what I am speaking about. Very well said!

@Darren Soares That is a great process to add to help make the client feel heard and hold scope accountability.
Grandma passed and my uncle has cancer
Hey y'all, not a sympathy post. This isn't me saying I'm taking time off for anything. In fact it's the opposite. My grandma passed away last week and I was cleaning out her apartment with my mother and talking to my aunt (both of them it was their mother). I can tell they're struggling. It's why I work so hard honestly on the software community on everything else. Almost none of the money goes to me. I give it to my family, my wife my friends. It's what makes me happy. I'm building a company specifically so my family doesn't have to struggle. Been helping out where I can but obviously been focusing a lot on the business. My uncle also has cancer and so my aunt has been taking care of him and also at the same time dealing with a death of her mother . Best way I can contribute has been through cash and some love here are there. With that though means I don't always have the time to do what I need to do. So honestly, I'm asking for your help if you're willing to donate to my aunt's GoFundMe on top of the help that I'm giving. I've just donated a bit and would love other people to help out. To me, if I work hard I can make sure that my whole family is taken care of. But in the small ways I can help where I can I will do my best too And that goes with asking for help from others. So if you all could help me out help them out. That would be amazing https://gofund.me/45b6655ba
