13/09/2026 I think I may have worded my original post badly, because I’m actually not looking for help defining my ideal client. I feel pretty confident about who I’m trying to attract. 😊 What I’m really looking for is fun, creative ways to actually get in front of those people and turn them into bookings. For a bit of context, I only opened Bare Beauty in mid-June with zero existing clientele, and I’ve grown the Instagram to around 670 followers organically since then. So I’m not really struggling with growing the audience itself. I’m wanting to get better at attracting the right people from that audience and making them want to actually book. I’m currently reworking the Bare Beauty brand around a “low-maintenance beauty with an edge” vibe. Think a little tattoo studio, a little beauty bar. Cool, relaxed, slightly alternative, but definitely not limited to alternative clients. My ideal client could be heavily tattooed and love something weird and wonderful, or she could be a busy mum who wears neutrals and just wants really fucking good nails. The common thread is personality, individuality, quality and wanting a beauty experience that feels like them. So now I’m looking for the marketing/content ideas that will make that person stop scrolling and think: “Wait… I like this place.” I’m thinking things like: • Fun/quirky Reels or social posts that fit the brand. • Content that shows the personality of the salon rather than just finished nails. • Creative campaigns or recurring social series. • Ways to make people want to follow Bare Beauty before they’re ready to book. • Collaborations or local ideas that would put the brand in front of the right people. I haven’t posted on local community pages or anything like that yet and assume that’d bring in people too as I know others have grown by posting to pages on fb. • Fun ways to encourage bookings without constantly screaming “APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE”. Basically anything organic that makes the right person feel like “these are my people.”
