Tell me about your dream customer 🥂
It's been a busy week in here. So many new faces showing up and I want to actually get to know you guys before we all jump into Day 1 on Monday. So here's a little exercise.. Finish this sentence for me, in the comments.. My dream customer is _____ And be specific. Not "women 35-50 who like crafts." Be SPECIFIC. Like.. "she's a sleep-deprived mom of a kid with eczema who's been reading ingredient labels at midnight for a year and is finally ready to commit to a brand she can actually pronounce." Or.. "he's a 60-year-old retiree who just got into hot sauce after his cardiologist took away his coffee and now needs hobbies that don't kill him." Drop them below.. someone we could close our eyes and see. And don't tell us what you sell.. if your person is specific enough, we can probably guess. The clearer you can see them, the more your store can actually do for them. so don't half-ass this. For those of you who ahve just joined us and who haven't introduced yourselves yet, this is your invitation to step in, don't be shy. This is a good excerise for you! There are no right and wrong answers. For my regulars.. some of you have shifted who you're talking to since the last challenge. Drop the current version and let me see how they've evolved. Our dream customer is the guy who bought his first smoker during football season, ruined a brisket or two, watched 47 YouTube videos at midnight trying to figure out what went wrong, and now takes backyard BBQ way more seriously than his family expected. He’s in his 40s and now is the guy who somehow has three grills, two smokers, and is already eyeing another one because “each one cooks different.” He takes pride in being the BBQ guy in the neighborhood — the one everyone calls when it’s time to cook for game day, birthdays, or backyard parties. He believes food brings people together, gets a little competitive every weekend trying to top his last cook, and loves hearing, “What did you put on this?” from friends leaning over the cutting board. He’s always chasing that next-level brisket, better ribs, or the perfect steak crust that earns him bragging rights until the next cookout. He’s not chasing Michelin stars. He’s chasing the moment his buddies go silent after the first bite. He wants products that actually work, advice that cuts through the noise, and a brand that feels like the experienced pitmaster next door helping him cook with confidence instead of making him feel intimidated. And honestly? He believes BBQ should be fun.

Hello! I and the creator/owner of Artisan-Grove Mercantile. I design organic clothing apparel and use POD to manage inventory. In addition, I offer small batch branded coffee and BBQ spices, as well as select kitchen and dining items. I resell women's shorts and leggings for a branded company. I have only been in business for about 4 months-2 months online, as it took awhile to get enough designs to launch. I had some local inventory, but switched to POD as it is much easier for inventory, shipping and delivery. My favorite care bear would be the tender heart one. I come from healthcare background-so I am very caring. My comfort food is a good brick oven pepperoni pizza! I had some good overseas traffic, but shipping to some countries was too expensive. It is a tough economy and I want to learn how to be strategic with my time in posting to the correct platforms to get biggest bang for your $$. Also, understanding analytics for web traffic to develop a budget for marketing. Look forward to meeting and learning together!
