17 contributions to Living Life as a Special Event
Hard Times with Grace.
Life doesn't always go as planned. There are moments that shake us to the core—loss, uncertainty, rejection, burnout, or simply the weight of daily struggles. As the author of Life is a Special Event, beautifully reminds me, every challenge is also an invitation—to reflect, grow, and rise. We must honour our emotions instead of burying them. Feeling lost, sad, or overwhelmed doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. Give yourself permission to feel everything. As I always say, "Being present with yourself is the greatest act of courage." Hard times often trigger a victim mindset. And I invited myself to reframe the question. Instead of “Why is this happening to me?” Ask, “What is this moment asking of me?” This shift gives me power. It transforms obstacles into opportunities and pain into purpose. In difficult times, self-leadership means showing up for yourself every single day. This might look like: - Keeping a consistent morning routine - Writing in a gratitude journey - Saying “no” to what drains your energy - Saying “yes” to what aligns with your values. - Even small, intentional acts can anchor you during a storm. As I always say “You were born worthy, whole, and enough. Hard times do not define you—they refine you.” So take a deep breath. Be kind to yourself. And remember: you are the author of your story—and the next chapter can be beautiful.
Hard Times with Grace.
"This land taught me to lead with love, to live with intention, and to walk gently in strength."
Today, I honour the grace of this land I am proud to call home. Canada has gifted me more than geography — it has given me space to breathe, to rise, and to live in alignment with who I truly am. As I reflect on my journey, I feel a deep reverence for the values we hold dear: peace, dignity, compassion, and freedom. On this Canada Day, I celebrate not only our collective history and the quiet power of living with intention — together. I celebrate not just the fireworks or the flag — but the deeper meaning of unity and peace. I celebrate the voices of Indigenous communities, immigrants, dreamers, doers and givers ( DDG) who make up the true mosaic of this land. From my heart to yours — Happy Canada Day. May we all continue to create lives that matter, rooted in love, community, and purpose. And may we never take for granted the gift of calling Canada home.

"Success found me the moment I chose to rise above comfort, walk with clarity, and trust the rhythm of my own becoming.”
For me, success is not defined by titles, trophies, or timelines. It lives in the moments I choose to show up fully — for myself, for my purpose, and for the life I am here to live. It’s a quiet confidence, built not in applause but in alignment. I’ve learned that real success begins within. It starts with the decision to trust myself — to honour my intuition, to walk with integrity, and to lead from a place of compassion. I don't chase success; I live it by being present, intentional, and deeply rooted in who I am becoming. There were times I doubted, moments I felt small. But in those spaces, I found resilience. I made peace with the process and gave myself permission to grow. I stopped measuring my life against others and began measuring it against my own evolution. Every step, every challenge, every lesson became part of the masterpiece I’m still creating. Success is not just a destination — it’s how I live, how I lead, and how I love along the way. “Success is not just about what you accomplish your life, it's about what you inspire others to do “

The Inner Voice That Changes Everything: Listening to Your Truth
In a world filled with opinions, expectations, and constant noise, the hardest voice to hear is often the one that matters most — your own. We live our days checking off lists, meeting demands, fulfilling roles — yet deep inside, a quiet voice keeps whispering, “There’s more.” More peace. More alignment. More truth. And in the rush to please others or prove ourselves, we begin to ignore that voice. We silence it with fear, routine, and self-doubt. And for me the shift begins when I choose to pause and listen. That inner voice — my truth — is not random. It is my inner compass. It knows my heart's deepest values, my unique path, and my highest potential. The moment I choose to listen to it, then I begin to realign my life from the inside out. Your truth might ask you to say “no” more often. It might ask you to take bold steps, to speak up, to rest, or to let go. And yes — it might feel uncomfortable at first. But that discomfort is a sign of growth, not failure. Your inner voice is not weak. It is wise. It doesn’t shout — it invites. It doesn’t push — it guides. And it will always lead you back to who you were created to be. So take a moment today. Breathe. Tune in. What is your truth asking of you? Because once you begin listening, everything begins to change — not from pressure, but from peace. Not from fear, but from freedom. Not from the outside in, but from the inside out.

The Inner Voice That Changes Everything: Listening to Your Truth
"Meaningful relationships aren't built by chance — they're nurtured by choice, one heartfelt moment at a time."
True connection doesn't come from perfection — it comes from presence. I build meaningful relationships by showing up with heart, honesty, and love. In those moments, life becomes truly special. I believe that life becomes richer when I build meaningful relationships. It’s not about how many people I know — it’s about how deeply I connect with them. Every connection begins with presence. When I lead with love and listen with intention, I create space for something extraordinary to grow. When I take the time to truly see someone, to listen with care, and to show up with kindness, something beautiful happens. Trust grows. Understanding deepens. And a space opens up where both of us can be real. I surround myself with people who bring light, honesty, and love into my life. These are the people who encourage me, support me, and remind me of who I am. In return, I offer the same — presence, patience, and a willingness to walk alongside them. For me, relationships are built one moment at a time — through quiet conversations, kind gestures, and simply being there. I don’t need grand actions, just genuine ones.
"Meaningful relationships aren't built by chance — they're nurtured by choice, one heartfelt moment at a time."
