CV review
hi Ameen, could you please review the CV and let me know your thoughts here.
Good effort on the resume @Sivagami Kandavel Remember the principle: you are a business owner solving the company's problem. The JD is the problem statement, your resume is the solution. 1. typo error "BEWERGUNGSUNTERLAGEN" โ†’ it's "BEWERBUNGSUNTERLAGEN." First word, first impression. 2. you listed RAC/ASM as "Grundkenntnisse" and OEM Cloud Control as "Grundverstรคndnis" - but the JD asks for sehr gute and gute Kenntnisse in exactly these areas. You're basically telling the recruiter "I don't meet your requirements." If possible remove the levels or consider upskilling soon 3. cover page should mirror the JD Your "Was ich Ihnen zu bieten habe" section is too generic. Read each JD bullet and make sure your cover page directly answers it. 4. stop repeating the same things across all three roles "Performance Tuning," "Troubleshooting," "Monitoring," and "Backup/Recovery" appear in every single role. This makes it look copy-pasted. (as we discussed in today's call) 5. missing key JD keywords The JD specifically mentions: Inbetriebnahme (commissioning new databases), coordinating changes with application owners, SE2/EE tuning, and Oracle Enterprise Linux. None of these appear in your resume. Go through the JD line by line and make sure each requirement has a matching point somewhere in your resume. 6. include more numbers if you can - "40% Effizienzsteigerung" is your only metric - try looking something like database sizes, uptime SLAs, number of migrations, incident response times, etc. Read the JD as a problem statement, then rewrite every bullet as your proof that you can solve that specific problem. hope this helps to move forward
Turning Job Posts into Networking Opportunities
When I posted a job vacancy on LinkedIn, the impressions didnโ€™t just happen by luck. I kept the headline clear, highlighted the value of the role, posted at the right time, and engaged with comments quickly. The lesson is simple: treat every post like a campaign - clarity, timing, and interaction are what drive visibility.

Travel to Germany
Hi Guys, I have an Opportunity Card in my hand currently but I am still in India with a job and searching for Jobs in Germany with a note of Ready to Relocate. I am looking for some suggestions where I have 3 options in front of me: 1. Quit the Job in India, take risk and travel to Germany & look for the jobs. Advantage of availability anytime for an interview or Joining immediately. 2. Don't Quit the Job in India, keep looking for Jobs in Germany anyways I have mentioned OP card in resume and Job Portals. 3. I am not sure this option is right. Take Sabbatical leave for 6 months and travel to Germany for Job search. And for all these, I have to arrange loan for staying for financial backup. That's the main reason stopping me from taking any decisions hastily. From the above options anything may or may not work. But I want to know the view points from you all.
1. Quit the Job in India, take risk and travel to Germany & look for the jobs. Advantage of availability anytime for an interview or Joining immediately. do the above if you are confident in language and applying jobs this is a risk but the bigger the risk bigger the reward prize of moving out of comfort zone
