The Solar Eclipse
Have you bought special glasses for this? We haven't but we were planning to go out locally and sit on a hill, using my iphone to video it. However, I've just read this online: Taking photographs of an eclipse risks damaging mobile phones, the public has been warned. Light from the solar event can break the sensors behind phone cameras, leaving them with permanent black spots. Mike Peel, of Imperial College London, said: “Your phone might be able to cope with a quick shot or two, but longer exposure risks damage to its camera and/or can cause the phone to overheat. “You can use solar eclipse glasses over the phone camera lens to protect it, but make sure you’re also wearing glasses when you’re trying to point it at the Sun.” The College of Optometrists warned: “Do not be tempted to watch it or photograph it on your phone, and the same goes for a camera, telescope or binoculars.” Who's got the glasses and filters for their cameras? If you've got some great footage, please share it here later - would love to see it 🌒🌓🌔🌕

Yes, I read that on the internet today. I'm out for dinner so I can't take a colander and don't have the special glasses either.
Outside Unplugged!
🌳 Prescription for today: 10 minutes outside, phone left indoors Daylight, fresh air, and a change of scenery do more for cortisol and mood than most of us give them credit for. It's free, it's fast, and it works with your body instead of against it. No step count, no goal — just get outside for 10 minutes today, notice something (a smell, a bird, the temperature), and leave your phone behind. TIP: If you love hearing the sound of the birds but don't know what bird you're listening to, try this app https://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/ I use it all the time.📲 There's an area we walk the dog every evening across the road from us in the woods with a pond and stream. My app is detecting a kingfisher. How cool is that? Can't wait to see it 🤞🏻 Where did you go, and what did you notice? Tell me below 👇

I've been to the gym and now sunbathing whilst doing the cryptic crossword. Challenge completed I'd say. 😁
Heatwave!
I think many are experiencing a heatwave at the moment and it’s no different here in Italy! We’re really enjoying our hiking holiday in the dolomites. Here's a few photos so far🙂

UPDATE - all spots taken 🌟 Something I've never offered before — I'm giving it away FREE to 5 women today.
UPDATE - if you’d like a spot in my next cohort, please comment ‘waiting list’ and you’ll be the first to know in the next round. First — thank you to everyone who showed up for last week's Core Four Challenge. Life got in the way for some of us (bank holiday + the hottest week of the year anyone?! 🥵) but Day 6 and 7 are ready to view & do!! Now. Today I want to talk about something that's been on my mind all week. I've spent 18 years working one-to-one with women — through my own private nutrition practice, as a Metabolic Balance coach, and through the Lose & Shape Up programme at David Lloyd — where I helped tons of women transform their body composition, their gut health and their relationship with food. Here's what one of them said: Lose and Shape up - "I lost a stone in about 4 weeks and then a further stone in the next 8 weeks. I felt fantastic, more confident, much more energetic and felt in control of food rather than feeling food was controlling me." — Kay H And another: "Despite a considerable shift in rethinking my food intake — I have lost 19lbs in 12 weeks. I have dropped two dress sizes. I am more energised and fitter than I have been for many years." — Victoria C These results weren't magic. They came from understanding exactly what each woman's body needed — and giving her a simple, personalised roadmap to follow. That's exactly what I'm offering 5 women in this community today. For free. 🔍 Introducing: The Holistic Nutrition Audit This isn't a generic meal plan. This isn't a calorie counter. This is a deep, personalised look at what's actually driving your hunger, your cravings, your energy crashes and your stubborn belly fat — specifically through the lens of menopause. Here's how it works: Call 1 — Before the 30-minute discovery conversation, you fill in an intake form. I listen, you talk. We look at where you are right now and what you most want to change. 5-Day Tracking Period — You complete a simple food diary and a hunger, craving and energy tracker. Real life — not perfection.

I'm in. Sorry that I haven't done the Core Four Challenge yet but it's been too hot! I've been going to the air-conditioned gym which has been heavenly! I've been doing the dead bug exercises that you recommended though. X
