First, some context: How to acquire clients when I’m just starting out? Or What if clients ask for my portfolio when I'm just starting out? These kinds of questions keep popping up in my mind. Why? Because, currently I’ve: - No Proof of Work - No Word of Mouth - No Testimonials to show How to remedy this? There are three approaches I'm going to try: 1) Cold DM or Cold Emailing with your offer and to whoever responds, offering free work in exchange of testimonials 2) Fiverr or Upwork: Search for relevant postings relating to your skill, apply to them using a loom video of how the workflow may look like, and then challenge yourself to build them even if your application is rejected. 3) Build for yourself: Automations build for your own business, are perfect way to showcase use-case & quality of your skills. These are ways I could come up with. What has worked for you?

Not sure if this is useful to anyone, it took a bit of trial an error to get right... this seem like the community that could find it helpful. I created a video and doc to go along with setting up your very own cloud histed oracle server with n8n, Coolify so you have the power of 4oCPUs and 24gb ram... (ARM processor) free forever on Oracle cloud. Great for testing or running your own workflows. There some limits to hours of use but more than enough for most peoples fun and games.

Hey Team, Just sharing a small achievement, in terms of learning.... I used the image on the left from the n8n support forum to create n8n automation to collect posts and their comments but while using it, I realized I was not getting the desired output: Post 1 Comments: - comment 1 - comment 2 Post 2 Comments: - comment 3 - comment 4 - etc So, after getting my hands dirty, redesigned the flow to make it more efficient, while giving the desired output and in addition to this, played around with it by feeding data to AI agents and generating different outputs.
