Ali, Tre’, Scott and Bryan (and all the rest of you)… My name is Aly I’m in Minnesota USA got our first 2 inches of snow last night. I’m honored to be invited thank you Tre’! I too have childhood trauma history and through my journey of healing got my masters degree in social work becoming a licensed clinical social worker. I founded a mental health clinic in 2008 and worked as a psychotherapist from 2004 -2020 when I was in a near fatal motorcycle accident. My recovery led me out of my 3rd abusive marriage. I became a follower of Jesus Christ and baptized by water in 2008 then really grew in my faith and the Word of God in 2013 I’m feeling thankful that my clinic is still thriving despite my inability to work as I once did. My prayer life is powerful and I love being a part of Gods kingdom (from my couch ha!!). I’ve been the guest on many podcasts sharing my story and was a mental health commentator on the show Snapped:behind closed doors in an episode that will air Sunday Nov 30th. I think I reached out to this group because there is an important aspect of being part of community. I only want to belong to communities who follow Jesus Christ. I’m so excited about what is happening across the globe knowing the final victory is won! We get to participate through prayer and using Gods word to cut through the lies and chaos. Guarding our hearts not to be deceived. Many will fall away I pray we can stand for truth and help the remnant stay active and alive in Christ no matter what happens around us. Awesome Thank you!! Great to get to know you more!! I’m hopeful to share what I’ve learned and lean into uncomfortable places to help people walk in Gods peace. God is not a magic fairy and does not heal what we traditionally think of as needing healed. My best friend who was a faithful believed in Jesus died on January 4th with breast cancer that she did not treat with medicine and instead kept claiming “by His stripes I am healed” When people misuse scripture there can be physical death which then creates hypocrisy and why people turn away from God. We have to know historical context of scripture and not study from English translations alone. But know the meaning of original language. I am not an expert to any of that just saying. For example the word LOVE in English all we have is that one word to love pizza and our spouse. But love in original language has separate words for separate love: familial love, sexual love, unconditional love etc.

@Scott Elliott women struggle with being loved the way God intended. Many of us have been exploited, abused and made to submit to men out of religious practices. Men who love as Jesus did are a rare find. A man who stands firm to protect women out of true love are vital!! I taught my son to love that way he is 31 and thriving in a beautiful marriage. Something he did not get to witness in me or his dad but through my teaching Him what God said as I struggled.
