Struggling (all my life, it seems) with de-essing
Hey all, one thing I've noticed is that esses sound different (and worse/lispier) when the volume is low. Anyone else have this same perception, and why is that? What are your go-to de-essers? I've tried BSA's DSR, XVox Pro's De-esser (in the vocal chain), Izotope RX-11 De-ess, and iZotope Nectar 4 DeEsser with really no luck.

Hi Ralph when u use a desser use it to to tame only the basic over all sibinlence if you have Roug s;s or others tame with eq or clip gain seperate from your desser use what ever works or sounds better dont use automation not a good idea hope that helps take care

Hi friends! Yesterday I bought Total Studio Max 6. Does any know how to reset all the activations? Cause I sold my old laptop but I forgot to deactivate the plugins suite on it… Thanks 🙏🏻

hi Franco log in to your down load manager and check to see if your plugs are still active on your old computer if they are you might have to deactivate them and then acctivate them on your new computer make sure that it lists your new computer in the acctivation tab hope that helps you also might have to activate the plugins by opening your computer and plugin and select activate if it dosnt say activevaed take care

sennheiser 441 on vocals anyone?
What is your first impulse in choosing a mic down to the volume knob I use an Sennheiser 441 for tracking guitar up front and close on speaker along with an U87 type for clarity in room ambience and or sparkle (angle and side chain depending on source and goal). I will also at times sum these two signals on a bus for parallel effects with an focusrite red with very easy settings... this is my starter arsenal on tracking 80% of the time. What do yall have and or prefer right off the bat?

Ivan Robles if you have a 441 sennheiser its a great dynamic mic for vocals in fact stevie nicks from fleetwood mac used that mic take care
