Skills for life not factory workers
Did you know school was created over 200 years ago to create factory workers. Even though the curriculum has changed the system hasn't. School was not created to make amazing human beings. It was made to support the system. I'm Ally, a registered teacher and homeschool mum of 4, including neurodivergent kids, and I built my Skool because I won't accept that my kids can graduate school but lack the basic skills to look after themselves. Inside, you'll get: 📚 Interest projects built for how kids actually learn — not one-size-fits-all worksheets 🍞 Step-by-step cooking and homesteading skills you can do alongside your kids, from sourdough to scratch meals 🏡 A community of families doing life a little differently — where the classroom is the kitchen table, the garden, or wherever the day takes us ✝️ Faith is woven through how we live here — not preached, just part of the fabric. 🔗 https://www.skool.com/second-wind-homestead-5194/about Ready to have more confident self sufficient children? Join us free, introduce your family, and grab your first practical resource.
Homeschooling with a difference
🌿Homeschooling is hard enough without feeling like you're doing it alone — especially when your kids learn differently, and the curriculum on the shelf just doesn't fit. I'm Ally, a registered teacher and homeschool mum of 4, including neurodivergent kids, and I built this space because I couldn't find the community and program I needed either. This is for you if you're a homeschooling parent, a neurodivergent family, a sourdough beginner, or drawn to a simpler, more intentional way of raising kids. Inside, you'll get: 📚 Homeschool guides and cross-curricular projects built for how kids actually learn — not one-size-fits-all worksheets 🍞 Step-by-step cooking and homesteading skills you can do alongside your kids, from sourdough to scratch meals 🏡 A community of families doing life a little differently — where the classroom is the kitchen table, the garden, or wherever the day takes us ✝️ Faith is woven through how we live here — not preached, just part of the fabric. 🔗 https://www.skool.com/second-wind-homestead-5194/about Ready to homeschool with more confidence and less overwhelm? Homeschooling with a difference
#FriendFriday 🎉
In the COMMENTS BELOW, please share a Skool community you think is doing really great things. It can be one you've participated in yourself or one that you've heard from others is amazing. Please do the following: 1. Tell us the name of the community and link to it (affiliates allowed). 2. Tag the person who owns the community. If they are not in the CLASSIFIEDS, then please send them a DM and let them know that you mentioned them here. I promise you will make their day! 3. Describe why the group is so wonderful and how it has helped you. Please DO NOT just copy and paste the About page! 4. Comment on each others comments and scroll through the referrals to see if there's an amazing group you are missing out on! Thanks so much for supporting each other and this community! Please note that any #FriendFriday mentions that are created as new posts will be deleted. Thanks! Please DO NOT promote yourself. 🤨. The entire community is for promoting yourself. This post is for celebrating someone else. 😊

Want more wow moments and less fighting?
🌿when we follow their interests rather than teaching them a curriculum someone else made, we watch them thrive. 👋 I'm Ally, teacher + homeschool mum of 4 (including neurodivergent kids). I created second wind homestead, a free community where I share my homeschool tips, resources and teaching support. Inside: 📚 Homeschool guides built for how your kids actually learn 🍞 Sourdough-to-scratch cooking skills to do together 🏡 A community doing life a little differently ✝️ Faith woven in, never preached https://www.skool.com/second-wind-homestead-5194/about?ref=5d3bc562200e4eec87a7d4 a8d3b52a36

@Berenice Sanchez thank you! I love yours!
Your Pinterest Board Is Not a Project Plan
Do you have saved patterns, fabric you love, Pinterest boards full of ideas and screenshots you’ve completely forgotten about... but still no idea what to make next? Sometimes choosing the project becomes a project in itself. One thing I’ve found helps is to stop looking at everything as separate inspiration and start comparing the ideas properly - silhouette, details, fabric, pattern options and what you actually feel like making. That’s exactly what my new mini course helps makers do. It takes you through a simple process to: - sort through the ideas you’ve collected - work out what you’re actually drawn to - choose one garment or style to focus on - find a pattern that gets you close - identify the sort of fabric that will work - pull everything together into one clear project plan You don’t need to have the pattern or fabric already, and you definitely don’t need another folder full of inspiration. The goal is simply to move from “I have too many ideas” to “this is what I’m making next.” If that sounds useful, the mini course is now inside Sewing Boss Learning Lab
