7 Day Jazz Language Jazz Language Bootcamp: Day 5, Extract and move (Diatonic)
Today we take a small piece of the line that sits completely in G major and move it up and down the G major scale. It opens out hundreds of possibilities. I didn't consciously think about anything except using the major 7th arpeggio pattern and trying to stick to notes from it (not always succeeding!)

Jazz Language Bootcamp: Day 2
Today we take the line up a fifth to D major, using the open strings as our friend, and learn it up an octave too. That gives us a new fingering without having to think too hard, and gets us ready for tomorrow. Jazz Language Bootcamp: Day 4, Transpose in 4ths
Today we use everything from the last three days to go round in 4ths, starting from F where we left off: F, Bb, Eb and Ab. Huge challenge: keep going all the way round the 12 keys. If you managed yesterday's challenge, this will suddenly feel a lot easier. 7 Day Jazz Language Bootcamp: Day 3, Transpose up a minor 3rd
This is where it gets tricky. Today we move the line up a minor third, from D to F. If you fancy a huge challenge, keep going through all four: D, F, Ab and B. Don't worry if it takes a whilse. Having to think about it is the whole point, and it pushes you to find different fingerings rather than just moving a shape around. My problem is not playing each individual line in the new key, it's working out quickly enough what note to start on. I can think it's up a 4th from chord one quickly enough, but knowing the 3rd of chord 2 quicker would be much better!
