@Sophie Haren I’ve been working at getting better at tiktok specifically this year so that makes me happy to hear, thank you! I love Kimberly Costa’s style, it’s a simple and hand drawn look that I love but I find hard to do! Liz Kohler Brown has a similar style, I love her patterns and simple shapes. I get what you mean with blobby! :) I really am dying for more color lol, I’ve actually been thinking of switching up my palette. Its muted and cool but I might be feeling a more warmer vibe?? But still muted I think. I don’t mind if you wanna use my palette as an example!

Free Brand Scan Readings
Let me make myself clear, I wouldn’t be a designer if I was psychic 🔮. I’ve wanted to be a professional psychic all my life, but despite a ton of Scorpio placements, I just don’t have the gift 🤷♀️ Maybe one day a head injury or an encounter with an enchanted antiques dealer will change that, but until then, a brand scan reading is the closest Ill get to being a psychic. I want to do them for you! This is supposed to be fun but I also want you to be able to easily ask me questions about YOUR brand. And for me to be able to give you SPECIFIC feedback about YOUR actual branding. And in order to do that, I need you to create your “Brand Scan.” So this activity is not only fun but also for your own good. ***You only have to do the brand links and messy moodboard for this.*** The short lesson and template for how to do this is in the classroom. If you share a PUBLIC VIEW LINK below I’ll tell you what it tells me. Essentially a psychic reading but for your brand and give you a few capsule branding tips based on what I see :)

@Sophie Haren firstly, thank you so much!!! this was so so helpful a couple of things since you were wondering about them, yes I did use a template for my brand book, I got the template from thecolorpalettestudio.com! For the planner, you were wondering if I was using a hand-drawn elements for the weekly boxes and yes, i drew everything out on my iPad for my planners, even the dot grid i made from scratch bc I was annoying adamant about it being 100% made by me LOL your reading felt both very on point and very eye-opening, like you were saying stuff I already knew (I do love hand-drawn elements!) but I put a variety of hand-dawn elements with different styles, so yeah that is something I can definitely put more thought into and be more consistent! (as well as the corner rounding and the line weights lol) btw you blew my mind with using the eyedropper tool on my sticker sheets for my off-white! and I'm also very very excited about the extended palette, you're so right that I am craving more color so an extended palette would be awesome! lastly, I'm not sure what blowing out the background means? sorry for the novel of a comment, but thank you so much for this, this was really fun and helpful! :)

@Sophie Haren yeah i do love the hand-drawn look! in the age of AI i want to make it clear it's all drawn by a person lol OH, yeah I would say background remover! I hesitate to do that since the stickers are already white, so having them on a white background would make it difficult to see maybe? and if I do a solid color I worry about them looking too much like a mockup (which now I'm using a mix of mockups made from my photos and actual photos). tbh product photography is the worst for me 😩

Capsule Branding Hangups
Happy November everyone! I was creeping on you guys (because I figured out I can see who’s started and completed courses muahahahaha) and noticed several of you started the capsule branding course but didn’t finish it or get very far. Y'all have until the end of the year to submit your free shrug, I typically do them on wednesdays. You should have been given access to the free shrug course that walks you through all the instructions!
