🔥 Practice, Not Performance 🔥
What I want to say is…this is your reminder that nothing here is accidental. You don’t need permission to experiment .You don’t need mastery to begin .You don’t need certainty to listen. Every moment you show up curious instead of certain you’re already in rhythm .Every question you ask is a note. Every pause is part of the composition. Progress doesn’t come from perfection .It comes from presence. From play. From being willing to sound a little messy while you learn your own tempo. So try things. Miss beats. Listen closer. Move when it feels right. We’re not here to perform. We’re here to practice becoming more alive. Let’s keep tuning together. 🎶😎
What ideas are fascinating?
Calling all members! Help us get the ball rolling. Comment on this thread starting with “what I want to say is…” What is deeper than the mundane? The itch you wish you could scratch? It doesn’t have to be “musical” per se’, but let out your inner artist and share what is real. Let’s connect about the intricacies of life :)

What I want to say is… I’m fascinated by the moments where nothing extraordinary seems to be happening, yet everything feels alive. The subtle shifts in attention, the quiet ache to be present, the way meaning reveals itself when we slow down enough to notice. That’s the itch for me learning how to stay with what’s real.

Most of what you’ll hear here is G major chord progressions G, Am, Bm, C, D7, Em, Fdim, G With the major 7 and minor 7 alterations I like to play with modes of the major scale to connect different positions on the neck. You will hear some obvious flubs in here that are not in key. I aim to utilize these moments to load the weight, as one would in Aikido, into the wrong note and explore sounds that are relatively pleasing. My aim isn’t to remain in place the whole time. I want to explore and find new connections. That is how we learn to improvise. Build new synapses like the brain on psilocybin and then we have options.

Lovely
Fear
I have taken some time recently to reflect on some fears of mine. The loss of family had brought many vivid dreams. New life coming into my family so soon is disorienting. Sitting in the stillness I asked what is blocking me. I waited to hear the response echo back. Fear. I had nightmares about my past that revealed doubt in my capabilities. The ways in which I fell short whilst giving it my all. I felt isolated. Music is something that has always helped me exist in darkness. Music has become a bridge between me and the world. A new way to communicate something that the English language will always fail to describe. Soul. And so my calling is to lean into my heart beat. Play and hold rhythm. I have fallen short in the past and I know that this spirit of music wants to grow. So it is my honor to play and to connect with people who play for the spirit of play. much love 🤟
