Let me SHARE with you a GREAT promotional trick using SPONSORS.
So when I was doing my big parties, I always worked with sponsors. I always tried to work with sponsors that I could also use in my marketing. An example would be a limousine company or some kind of a company that had direct contact with my clients. Here is a story of how I worked with the limousine companies. Basically, we'd meet with the owner and tell them about the clients I had and show them, convincing them that yes, this is your target market. That part MUST work first. And then obviously what exposure could I give that company with getting their company name and link on 60,000 printed flyers, hundreds of thousands of emails going out, and also on the video screen at the party itself. The most important thing here for me, as an organizer, was that I could get access to their fleet of vehicles. They would very often either give me a limousine that I could fit 15 to 20 people in, or a cable car on wheels (as we were in San Francisco) That I could use for a night....Or twice. Two to three weeks prior to our special event, we would handpick the top 15 or so most beautiful girls in our list. We would be maybe four or five guys that would take themout. We would set up a pre-party with food and drinks and we would all dress the same, maybe all in white clothes, for example. Sometimes we also wore funny wigs or certain other attire so that we could stand out and be a team. We would hit bars and clubs where we knew we could find our target market and we also had to make sure it was okay for us to promote at these establishments. That was a win-win for all of us, and we also created that energy with our inner circle. The girls would almost fight for trying to go out with us in the limousines and having fun, as we were going around town for a whole night, promoting and meeting people and partying at the same time. So that is a great way for you to also think about how you could work with your sponsors in many different ways. I have many other ideas too, but this is one really good one.

A "Thing" to Watch Out For If You Are A Night Club Party Thrower...
Money Being Made On "The Side"... by Your Very Own Saff... NO...You are kidding me Alf. You cannot mean what you are writing here. Yes, I mean every word. And I've been through the ringer several times. One of the worst cases I had was a security guard at one of my huge events. We had 3,000-4,000 people there. He was pocketing a lot of money on the side where people had the smoking area. If it wasn't for a good friend of mine passing by there, the idiot was even trying to solicit people to come in this way so he could pocket the money. You've got to watch out for these things. Now, obviously, I got smarter over the years. I started planting people to see if one of the security guards (or any of the security guards) try to do anything funny. Another area you should be concerned about is: where the cashiers are. Also, you have to have an eye or a control system on your money collected at the door. In this industry, there's still a lot of cash, exactly where that cash goes and you have trusted people there, you've got to make sure that works. VIP passes: one time I had somebody copy my very sophisticated RipCard (which is actually a VIP pass too). Obviously, I saw the copy afterwards because they had to render that at the door. I was quite impressed with how they managed to copy it with colors and everything, it looked almost identical. so there are a lot of things you need to watch out for in this industry . CHIME IN: If you have any other tips or insights, let me know right here in the comment section and we can share ideas on how we can protect ourselves and keep the monies we so well deserve.

A "Thing" to Watch Out For If You Are A Night Club Party Thrower...
Have You Ever Struggled To Make Friends? You Wanted To Be Popular?
...then this post is for YOU. I remember when I first started college in the US... I was starting up as a Freshman at a university of over 30,000 students... and I felt Terribly Alone.. In addition, I was also from another Country (Norway) and I felt that I did not "fit in" with the general vibe and crowd there. It was NOT A VERY PLEASANT FEELING at all! I was trying all kinds of things to "Fit In"... I started joining some sport teams, took Karate classes, started playing tennis... I this "this and that" to Boost my social connection and tried my best to make new friends. Things were NOT moving fast...that was for sure... but I made some friends... but NOT at the level I had hoped for. It was not until I "connected" with some Americans in one of my classes that things started to change. They were fun guys and they also liked that I had "connections" in to the Scandinavian girls that were at this university... This one thing started moving things in the right directions... so to speak... Here's what happened. One of the guys that I befriended, he said, "Alf, why don't we do a party and you can invite all the Scandinavian people, both girls and guys, and I'll invite a bunch of my friends that I have here locally: .....because he grew up in the area. And he said, "Why don't we do a little party at a small bar?" I have a close friend that owns a bar and we can do it there, he said. So him and I got together on a plan for the party and we sketched out a little party invitation with all the details on. We printed a flyer, decided on a date, and got a friend of ours that was a DJ, and we started promoting this party through our friends of friends network. This was exactly in line with what I had hoped for because, from my culture, in Norway we go out in groups to meet other people, as opposed to dating. I even managed to make contact with the Norwegian consulate in San Francisco, and they even sponsored our events with $500 so I could buy some Norwegian food and do a little display there.

Have You Ever Struggled To Make Friends? You Wanted To Be Popular?
Hey Party Organizers... What do You have Cooking For 2026?
Tell me about your wildest party that you have already planned in your mind. What is it like? Who's going to be there? Where are you going to host it? Do you have a theme? What other things have you thought about? Have you thought about co-hosts? Have you thought about sponsors? Have you thought about the design of the outside? I always had a red carpet outside, searchlights, die-cals with my party names, a bouncer or two dressed up in a tuxedo, and with red ropes hanging from nice little poles. How are you gonna do the inside? Do you have one dance room or more than one type of music? I used to have European music in one room, 70s and 80s in another one, Latin music in another one. Very often we had live band with 10-15 people playing salsa music. We had a Persian room too. So obviously this all depends on what your crowd is like and the different groups you're working with. But how do you, for instance, tie it into those groups? I found a great way to do is to invite other people to your big event as co-hosts. Like for instance in San Francisco, And salsa crazy, they had a huge following in the Latin group. Then I did the same for the Russians, I did the same for the Brazilians, I did the same for the Persians. And me being European, I had all the contacts for the Europeans. And so what kind of entertainment are you going to have inside? Are you going to have a happy hour early on to get people early on? How are you promoting your event? Who are you promoting through? This is just something for you to ponder about, as I became quite the expert when it came to launching events and coming up with unique events that people would like. How do you do that? sk your target market to share some ideas with them. If they're like you, they'll probably like some of the ideas that you came up with. This is just a little note from me in the new year. Hopefully you have some thoughts around it. Love to hear from you.
