Solstice Reflection: A Simple GPT Prompt for Light and Dark
Today marks the solstice, a natural turning point in the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, it is the shortest day and longest night. In the Southern Hemisphere, it marks the return of longer days and more light. Either way, it has traditionally been a moment to pause and reflect. This time of year often reminds me that growth asks us to hold both light and darkness at the same time, without rushing to resolve either. As we move into this moment, I have been reflecting on how this year has unfolded and in doing so, I have been using my GPT more to reflect. If it feels useful, you could try a simple prompt like this (copy & paste into your GPT): “Looking back on this past year, what came into clearer light for me, and what still feels unfinished or unclear? What might each be teaching me? After reflecting, summarize this into 3 short points: 1. What came into the light this year? 2. What still feels unfinished or in the dark? 3. What each seems to be teaching me as I move forward?" No fixing. No optimizing. Just noticing. If you try it, please share the three-line summary, or even just one line that stood out for you. Sometimes naming it is enough for clarity to unfold from there.
