Today was one of those days I’ll remember for the rest of my life. 🥋 I was promoted to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after years of showing up, learning, failing, getting back up, and trusting the process. ☕ I also accepted an offer to join Creature Coffee as a Bookkeeper & Financial Analyst. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and excited to begin this new chapter in my career. 🐦 This morning, my sister and I were able to rescue a young bird after it flew into our glass door. Seeing it recover and safely return to nature was a simple but meaningful reminder that sometimes we’re exactly where we’re needed. Some other wins: ✅ Recovery from my foot surgery continues to improve—I can put more weight on both feet every day. ✅ Stayed clean and sober for another 24 hours. ✅ Celebrated this milestone with great friends. ✅ Ended the day with gratitude instead of fear. Not long ago, I didn’t know what the next chapter would look like. Today reminded me that when I stay committed to recovery, faith, discipline, and doing the next right thing, life has a way of opening doors. I’m grateful to God, my friends, my recovery community, my professors, my teammates, and everyone who has walked beside me on this journey. One day at a time. Keep showing up. #RecoveryWins #OneDayAtATime #Gratitude #BlackBelt #BrazilianJiuJitsu #NewJob #FinancialAnalyst #Bookkeeper #CreatureCoffee #Sobriety #Faith #ProgressNotPerfection

The Work Is Done
Today's wins: - Had my final interview with the COO at Creature Coffee. - Completed the final assessment for Higher Ground Investment. - Started my teeth whitening treatment with my custom trays. - Continued healing from my foot procedure and making steady progress. - Stayed clean and sober for another day. - Ready for tomorrow's black belt promotion. I might end up getting both jobs, or neither. That's no longer in my control. What was in my control was preparing, showing up, and giving every opportunity my best effort. Now it's up to them. Whatever the outcome, I'm proud of the work I put in. #RecoveryWins #OneDayAtATime #Sobriety #RecoveryJourney #Gratitude #Discipline #KeepShowingUp #BJJ #BlackBeltJourney #Healing #PersonalGrowth #ProgressNotPerfection #SWK

Update on the sobriety journey - day 39
After +10 years smoking, sobriety is looking solid. I almost gave up today again seriously after exposing myself socially to my old boss (friendly one). The atmosphere was festive in madrid city and I wanted to join the vibe. I didn't relapse, I repeat it looks solid. No smoking tobacco and weed at the same time is really hard not because of the cravings but because facing reality is not easy and I'm living the consequences of abusing weed. Weed abuse made me loss my real personality and friends, so I lost friendly social contact. I lost real connection, I lost 3 jobs. Add to that poor sleep, constant anxiety and the only solution I got are prescribed benzos (that I'm not taking). Today social exposure can mark a difference: I REALISED FRIENDLY SOCIAL EXPOSURE IS MY REAL MEDICINE. Add to that I can work better and longer and workouts feels x3 times better than on weed. Last but not least, something crazy about getting sober is that positive things happens "magically", that's very strange. Still a lot of work and time to be where I want to be. Thanks if you readed till the end.

[QUESTION] What is a HEALTHY risk you took that paid off?
I've realized recently that my sobriety is made up of a series of healthy risks that have moved my life in a direction that I like. Sometimes there's a setback, but I can't lose if I don't quit. WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Getting sober. Every meaningful improvement in my life came after that decision. It felt like a risk at the time because I didn't know who I'd be without alcohol and drugs, but it turned out to be the best investment I've ever made.
