Hi I’ve got no sound on my flash cards today. Is anyone else experiencing problems?

Quick Spanish question for locals 🙂
When leaving a shop in the evening I often hear the local men after paying say : what sounds like “buenos” being said to a woman working in a store . I thought the shortened greeting was “buenas” (from buenas tardes / buenas noches). Is this just pronunciation or dialect in the Canaries, or are people actually saying “buenos”? Or just my UK ears 👂..? Thanks still learning…. 🙏🏽

@Keren Lann the “Buen dia” got dropped on me this morning when leaving the newsagents by a young chap working behind the counter. The simple things in life make us smile inside 😊 . Thank you guys 😁👍🏽
Login issue – password reset email not received
Hello, I’m currently unable to log in to my Flash Card Layers browser account. I’ve tried resetting my password, but I’m not receiving the reset email. I’ve checked my spam/junk folder and the usual locations, but nothing has come through. Could you please help me resolve this? Thank you, Alan

1️⃣ Learn chunks, not words Don’t learn comer = to eat. Learn: Tengo hambre - I'm hungry Vamos a comer - We are going to eat Me gusta comer carne - I like eating meat 2️⃣ Don’t upgrade your level too fast Stay longer with easy content. Easy Spanish you understand = confidence + speed. Hard Spanish you don’t understand = frustration. 3️⃣ Consistency beats motivation 10 minutes every day > 2 hours once a week. Tiny habits = BIG progress. 4️⃣ Repeat like a parrot (but smart) Hear a sentence? Pause. Repeat it out loud. Copy the rhythm, not just the words. Accent improves without thinking about it. 5️⃣ Make mistakes you can reuse If you mess up and people correct you = GOLD. Those corrections stick way more than anything you “studied”. 6️⃣Use Spanish for your real life: Keep a mini diary: one sentence per day in Spanish. Write your shopping list in Spanish. Read the subtitles in Spanish even if the audio is in English. Talk to yourself like a crazy person. (It works 😅) 7️⃣ Listen before you understand You don’t need to understand 1000%. Your brain is learning patterns even when you feel lost. Trust the process.

Hey Keren, this is super helpful advice! Especially the part about not rushing and building a solid foundation first. 🏠 I also love the idea of making a shopping list. 👍🏽 I’ve found it really useful to keep receipts from the supermarkets 🛒 and use them as a reference when buying individual items from local shops. That way you can ask the shopkeeper if they have something and it helps the vocabulary stick and makes the learning feel more practical.😀
