Readers Wanted! For my Sci – Fi book
I have an original sci-fi book of 131 pages (6x9 format). It is book 1 of a six book series. Title: The Machine Front Subtitle: The First Machine War – Without Human Soldiers Drones vs. Robots Trust me, it’s a “page turner”. DM me that you want to read it. I will see that you get a copy for free. I would appreciate a review… but, of course that is up to you and not required for receiving the book. It’s set in the 22nd century where humans are prohibited from the battlefield. Drone armies controlled by Mara go to war with robot armies controlled by Rourke. They are fighting over a huge energy field named Daedalus under the crust of the moon. As the war progresses, something changes as the autonomous war machines begin to think for themselves. Perhaps a new civilization is dawning.

Star Trek and the Matrix. I am Mr. Anderson... 🤪 I love sci fi and the way wars are being fought even now gave me some ideas. And... there is always some speculation about machines and ai taking over. Seemed like a good fit. DM me and get the free book.

Organizing your pins for quick and easy posts really helps - here is what I do: 1. Create an MS .docx and save it with the name of the topic i am going to pin 2. Put the title in 3. Put the link in 4. put in the description (usually made by chat) 5. research key word phrases and list them - no more than 7 6. put in an alt text if you want 7. paste in the image or video Everything in one place. I can then do a pin in about 2 minutes
📍Pinterest Challenge Day 2
Welcome to day 2 of the 100 PIN CHALLENGE! 🙌 Now that you have made sure your account was established, updated your profile picture, and optimized your bio. Today we are working on thinking about our board strategy. 🎯The goal is to set up 3-5 board topics based on your book. Then, in the board settings, write up an SEO optimized description and add a cover photo 📸. (see more details) 👉 Once you're done with that, SHARE your PINTEREST PROFILE LINK in the comments so we can follow each other.

@Nick Lewis Yes, common practice is to add them to the end of your description in this format: #tarot#tarotbook no spaces, no punctuation.

@Rainer Egert I put a heart on all 3 even though I have no idea what they said.
Reflections from a Free Book Promotion
Thought I'd share a few reflections from my Free Book Promotion. I signed up for Kindle Select when I published my book last November and did nothing with it until July. 1. I didn't realize how giving my book away for free would benefit me. It seemed like it would just take sales away, but now I understand how it drove traffic which can show Amazon it's a book to show more people. It made it as far as #3 in all it's categories (for free books!) I saw my rankings improve significantly. Also, as it went on I got really excited about people having and reading my book. 2. Even though I gave my book away free it was still one of my biggest months in KDP royalties 3. It was by far the biggest month in people reading my book, with over 6k pages read vs an average of less than 3k. I'm experimenting more now that I see how easy it is. I had intended to raise my ebook price incrementally over the first few months but never did. After the promotion I finally raised it. This quarter I'm going to experiment with running a sale vs free. I wish I had started experimenting with it earlier!

Where and to whom did you make the free offer of your book? What social media apps or platforms? The free offer is a great promo but you still need an audience to offer it to.
