Professor Duck - Finding the right niche
Did someone say free gifts?
My community, https://www.skool.com/ricochet-4274/about, is all about nostalgia. I share things I have acquried over my lifetime and help you recall memories in your life. Traditions. Childhood. And as something resonates with you, I encourage you to share those memories. My hope is that in the future, one of your descendants can type your name in the search bar and all your words will be there for them to cut & paste into a document and have a book of your life. I wish I had written down everything my Mama told me. But sometimes just a picture or conversation can trigger those memories. I also give away things from my estate as we're going. And there's an interactive map that shows where in the world all my treasures are going. Maybe your location will be next! All my treasures have been sourced through thrifting, yard sales, and estate sales. I tell the stories of some of how I acquired some of the items (some of the stories are rather interesting).

antique story... My wife and I used to buy and sell (and keep) antiques. It was fun but as you know JUlianne, it can be addicting. Anyway we were at an auction and my wife came upon this 1880's "North Winds" oak server. It had a mirror with north winds heads on each side, claw feet, lots of gingerbread, great antique brass drawer pulls and was in perfect condition. She WANTED it! So we did as usual - we set a limit and I was to do the bidding (I didn't trust her ;-)). So we set $750 as our limit. SHe couldn't bear to watch and went looking around. The bidding progressed and sure enough it got to our limit and beyond. SHe heard the #s and looked over at me with a sad look. Little did she know, I was still bidding. Finally the auctioneer said "Going, GOing Gone! and pounded his gavel. my wife came over to me and expressed her disappointment. I said " yea, me too. I paid $150 more than I wanted to". SHe jumped in the air and gave me the sloppiest kiss I had had in a while. I thought we might have to leave for a little while... :-) It was the best $150 I ever spent (almost). 12 years later when we moved we sold out our antiques and got $1900 for it. Before the buyer could move it out, someone else came along and offered him $2100 for it. He sold it to them.
