Truck driver turned novice founder — building the tool I wish I had
Hey everyone — Armando here (agbexar), solo founder based out of Nevada. Glad to be in the room. Quick truth up front: I’m a truck driver. I’m also a complete novice when it comes to building software. Everything I’ve built so far has come from my own pain points on the road — and from partnering with Claude (Anthropic’s AI) to turn those pain points into real products. I’m building Giga-Sphere OS — a compliance and financial-ops platform for gig workers and the companies that work with them. The mantra I’m building around, for myself and every other 1099 contractor out there: Profit. Protect. Retire. First product is Giga-Books — a tax and expense tracker built specifically for 1099 folks (rideshare, delivery, trucking). I run the personal version in production every day. Every mile, every receipt, every edge case I hit on the road is teaching the public version what it needs to be before launch. In parallel, I’m heads-down building a dynamic, intuitive chatbot — stage one of a customizable fleet management platform. A trucking/expediting partner I drive with is in active conversations to be the first paying client. I’m here to learn from founders who’ve walked this road, and to share what I’ve figured out along the way. Gracias for having me.

Hola Armando, bienvenido!! I’m Aimee — a trucker’s daughter who’s been in the industry for years. I’ve actually had a very similar idea and have been trying to build something I wish I had when I started. I’d love to hear more about what you’re working on & it’s exciting to see someone in this industry join the group! I’m also in the very early stages of learning Claude (with @Cynthia Vazquez help) and hoping to bring parts of my vision to life. I’ve had a few setbacks with developers leaving my project incomplete, so I’m still researching whether it’s worth continuing to invest in it. Really excited you’re here and looking forward to learning from you! You’re gonna love this group!! It’s honestly kept me showing up even when I’m still figuring things out. That’s the best part we all lean on each other here Thanks @Hugo Garcia for tagging me!!

Happy Holidays!
As the year slows down, I just want to say this: I’m proud of this community. You showed up. You asked hard questions. You chose progress over comfort. This season is a reminder that what we’re building here isn’t just businesses — it’s confidence, clarity, and comunidad. Take time to rest. Break bread with your people. Reflect on how far you’ve come. When we return, we do it with more focus, more courage, and more belief in ourselves and each other. Gracias for being here. The work continues — but tonight, we celebrate. 🎉 Con ganas, David

Happy holidays, everyone! Thank you, David, for all your efforts this year and for showing up for us in every way possible with your time. Meeting all of you has truly been a pleasure, and hearing everyone’s journeys and ideas has been a huge inspiration to me. I’m so grateful to be part of a group that leads with vulnerability, compassion, and joy. I’m sad I wasn’t able to see everyone in person at the Posada it’s been a rough couple of weeks with my family getting sick, myself included. But I’ll see you all next year, and I can’t wait to catch up, hear from everyone, and see where the new year takes us all. Now it’s time to get ready to cook pozole and play Lotería! Felices fiestas amigos! 🎄✨
