DP-700 - what's the plan?!
Hey everyone - yesterday the DP-700 exam became generally available, PLUS Microsoft announced 20,000 50% off vouchers to take the exam... so you might be wondering, what's the plan?! With the previous DP-600 exam, we managed to help hundreds, or maybe even thousands of you certified, which is awesome! And for the DP-700, I have plans to go even bigger! Therefore, this is a summary of what's planned: 📽️ Like with the DP-600 exam, I will be producing videos for the YouTube channel to walk you through each section of the DP-700 study guide - these videos will also be added to the Classroom here in the LMF community, and discussion posts made for conversations about the topics! I hope to start releasing these in the next few weeks. As well as the videos, this time, I'll also be hosting a DP-700 bootcamp (from 19th Jan to 30th March) within Fabric Dojo for those that want more support, this includes: - Access to 11 LIVE (online) study sessions held between 19th Jan and 30th March - Access to summary study notes for each section of the exam. - Plus, as a member of Fabric Dojo, you will get access to the 90+ hands-on tutorials and projects in the Dojo, 60 of which are relevant for DP-700 learning. Practical experience really makes a difference when you're sitting the exam. This is what I spent 6 months working on last year! It's nearly 30 hours of exclusive content and hands-on learning related to Fabric Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering.

@Will Needham does the vector data type support extend to Lakehouse and/or Data Warehouse store types in Fabric, or is it limited to SQL databases? This would be preferable for use cases where business data is ingested into these kinds of data stores, avoiding the impracticality of having structured data in a lakehouse layer and vectorized data in another layer (SQL databases).
Conquered the DP600! Thanks to the Skool Community and Will!
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve passed the DP600 exam and earned my Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification! A huge thank you to the Skool community and especially to Will for the incredible course and support. The exam was quite challenging, with tough questions that really tested my knowledge. For those preparing, I highly recommend diving deep into the MS documentation, especially on DAX, TSQL, PySpark, integration tools, report and visualization performance, and connection types for Power BI. Also, keep practicing with the MS practice test. I luckily encountered plenty of similar questions in the real exam! If I could do it, so can you! Good luck, and thanks again for all the support!
Git Integration with PBIP Files in Microsoft Fabric
Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring the new Power BI Project (PBIP) file type and its integration with Git. I noticed in the video demonstration in section 4 (Analytics development lifecycle), the presenter used Power BI Desktop to demonstrate this integration. However, PBIP file types were not used within the context of Microsoft Fabric in the video. Is it possible to apply this integration between Git and PBIP files directly in Microsoft Fabric, without the need for Power BI Desktop? Thanks, Ahmad

Thanks, Will. In such case, the dashboard still has to be created in Power BI Desktop if we want to push it to GitHub as a PBIP file, right? Power BI in Fabric does not seem to allow me to save the PBIX file as a PBIP. It doesn't look like there is a 'Save as' option in File menu. Also, the 'Download this file' option in File menu seems to restrict the downloaded file to PBIX. That's why I'm assuming that Fabric Power BI cannot be currently used 'solely' for a workflow that will end pushing the dashboard to version control as a PBIP file for readability. Right? Ahmad
