Todays Psychic Pet Exercise
Today’s psychic exercise is simple and fun. Try to tune in and pick up a pet’s name or even just the first initial. That’s it. No pressure. No dramatic visions required. Sit quietly, think of the pet, and notice what pops into your mind first. A letter. A sound. A random name. Do not force it. The very first impression is usually the one to trust. Remember, your intuitive gifts are like muscles. The more you use them, the stronger they get. If you only work them once in a while, they stay subtle. Daily practice is what builds clarity and confidence. You might think, I am totally making this up. Completely normal. Every intuitive person has thought that at some point. Keep practicing anyway. Your Soul already knows how to connect. You are simply building trust in what you receive. Keep it light and playful. And if you get the letter B and the pet’s name turns out to be Bella, celebrate that win. If you have a pet you would love to see featured in a post, message me. Monday's Psychic Exercise
Today’s intuitive exercise is all about shapes and colors. Take a quiet moment. Close your eyes if that helps. Ask yourself what shape or colors come through. It might be a quick flash in your mind, a strong pull toward a certain card, or just a random thought that seems to land out of nowhere. Go with the first thing you receive. Do not overthink it. The first impression is often the clearest before the mind jumps in and starts doubting. Remember, your intuitive abilities grow with practice. Just like building strength in the body, repetition builds confidence and clarity. The more you show up for exercises like this, the more natural it becomes. If you catch yourself thinking, I am just guessing, that is completely normal. Keep going anyway. You are learning to trust your intutition and the subtle ways it communicates. Keep it light. Have fun with it. Comment your guess, and I will reveal the answer one week from today.

Getting Things Ready Behind the Scenes

I was in a guided meditation a few years ago and we were instructed to proceed to the edge of the field where we would be met by an animal to guide us. When I arrived a small squirrel ran up to me to greet me. I literally thought in my head, "Haha, yeah - it figures it would be a squirrel. A little nervous and jerky, playful animal ..." and before I could even finish my thought a massive stag walked up and gently booted the squirrel away and said, "Don't mind him". The squirrel ran up the stag's leg and proceeded to play, run, and jump through his antlers during the remainder of the trip. This made me laugh - still does when I think about it. And makes so much sense. I do try to blend playfulness with seriousness throughout my life. The Stag feels fiercely calm, wise, and protective while the squirrel reminds me that we can be responsible (collecting nuts for the winter) while still remembering to have fun.
To cut or not to cut, that is the question?
It is a well known truth that many of the conditions, behaviours, and opinions we grow up with are not truly our own. They are shaped by our parents, society, television, media, and the collective influences around us. As we move through our awakening, we begin to re evaluate every area of our lives and ourselves. With deeper awareness comes new understanding, and sometimes our thoughts naturally change. Take flowers in the home as an example. For most of my life, without much thought, I was in the cut camp. Flowers were meant to be picked and placed in a vase, simple as that. Then, as my awakening unfolded and I began to understand that everything is energy, my view shifted. I moved firmly into the not cut perspective. It felt unethical to remove a flower from its garden, cutting it off from its source. If all things carry energy, how could I justify separating it from where it grows? But then I remembered something. Many years ago, during a time when I was going through something deeply challenging and my vibration felt very low, a friend sent me flowers. Those flowers lifted me in ways I cannot fully describe. Their colours, their scent, their presence in the room, every time I walked in, I felt a gentle rise in my energy. They did not just decorate the space, they shifted it. They shifted me. And so my opinion softened. If having flowers in my home can bring peace, comfort, and healing, then perhaps the question is not so rigid. Without giving flowers a personality, although it is tempting to, why would their energy not also serve through that exchange? Why assume that their purpose is diminished by being shared in that way? Perhaps awakening is not about fixed answers. Perhaps it is about remaining open enough to let our understanding evolve. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Ros🤍

To cut or not to cut, that is the question?

In herbalism we use the plant matter. We cut, pick, or dig up parts of plants. This could be seen much the same way as cutting of flowers. 1. The aromatic oils in flowers are medicine for us in ways that we may not fully understand 2. The colors impact us on an emotional level and directly work with our nervous systems 3. The plant energy itself and the energy of bringing the outdoors indoors is beneficial. I have been taught by many teachers that if we ask the plant for permission, set out intention for its use, and wait a minute or two to establish a connection with the plant, the medicine is stronger and works better for its intended purpose. Some believe that is because plants are here to help us and they are very happy to contribute as much healing power as they can to get us humans back on track and working with nature again. To heal us on the cellular, emotional, and spiritual level. In this way, the plant and the human are forming a bond and taking a snippet with you of that plant matter is beneficial for us. Also, trimming plants helps them to thrive as long as we don't over-take from the plant. Take what we need and leave at least 2/3 of the plant there to continue growing.

@Fiona Williamson I've started using branches instead of full trees. That is actually the traditional way anyway. Bringing in a branch from the tree allows the nature spirits to come in to the warmth and enjoy the hearth and bringing in a branch or two doesn't destroy the tree. Also, pine, cedar, juniper, and holly all have strong natural antimicrobial and insect-repelling qualities. Even if people didn’t understand the chemistry, they noticed that homes with evergreen boughs often smelled cleaner and fresher. Hanging branches around doors and windows helped protect the occupants from airborne diseases coming through the thresholds. Hanging them on a fireplace allowed the warmth of the fire to heat the essential oils and distribute them throughout the house. Plus greenery signals the nervous system that we are safe - it represents food and survival as well as the continuity of life and connection to the natural world.
