Spike in older book sales after a new release - algorithm or coincidence?
Has anyone noticed this? On the day I publish a new book, sales of an older one (not part of a series, not even in the same genre) suddenly went up. Is this an algorithm effect - like increased visibility for the author as a whole or just coincidence? If it is the algorithm, then it changes how often it makes sense to publish.

@Hannah Janeth Good to know I wasn’t the only one experiencing this. I was starting to wonder if I was hallucinating. BTW, if you’re launching a new book, what can you actually do to avoid it falling into that “dead zone” of books that get zero sales in the first 30 days and then become very hard to recover from, assuming that’s even true?

@Hannah Janeth I launched a workbook a few days ago and I'm launching a book pretty soon. But you made me think. Publishing does not equal launching

⏳⏳⏳ I'm going to be pulling this keyword pack down at the end of next week to keep it exclusive, so if you want to grab it now, it would be a great time. Anytime I start a new book idea, I always begin with keyword research. That’s how I validate whether something actually has demand before I spend time creating it. The tool I use is Publisher Rocket.🚀 It’s definitely more of an 💰 investment, but if you plan on doing multiple books, it pays for itself quickly. That said, I know not everyone wants to invest in tools right away, so I decided to make this easier for you. 🔥 I created a pack of 15 PROFITABLE Fantasy Coloring Book Keywords These are: ✔️ Pre-researched ✔️ Opportunity-based ✔️ Ready for you to use ⏳ And I’m only keeping this available for a short time to keep it exclusive. 👉 Grab it now for just $10 If this is your first time creating a coloring book, just know the process can take way longer than expected. Coming up with ideas, trying to get AI to generate images the way you want, fixing designs, it can turn into a pretty frustrating and time-consuming process if you’re doing everything manually. That’s actually why I started testing a tool called Colorin. It simplifies the process a lot and makes it much easier to generate an entire coloring book without going one page at a time. If you’re serious about getting started, this will save you a ton of time. 👉 CHECK OUT COLORIN HERE use discount code CREATOR25 for 20% off the tool If you’ve been thinking about creating a coloring book, this is your sign to do it—but do it strategically.

3 Low-Competition Niches I Found This Week 👀📚
If you’ve been stuck on what kind of book to create next, this is your reminder that opportunities are everywhere—you just have to know how to look for them. Here are 3 niches I found this week that have solid demand but relatively low competition: - Kitten Coloring Book for Kids - 533 monthly searches / 33 competition score / <10,000 competitors - Potty Training Sticker Chart - 689 monthly searches / 39 competition score / ~100 competitors - Bedtime Routine System- 602 monthly searches / 37 competition score / <100 competitors This is exactly why I’m always talking about validating before you create. These aren’t random ideas… they’re backed by real data. I used Publisher Rocket to find these, and it’s one of the most valuable tools you can have as a self-publisher. It helps you uncover keywords people are already searching for—so you’re not guessing, you’re positioning. The goal isn’t just to create a book… It’s to create a book that has a chance to actually sell. 👉 Start paying attention to keywords that: - You’re interested in - Align with content you’d enjoy creating - Have demand but manageable competition That’s where the magic happens. Curious… which one of these niches would you explore first? 👇

I’ve published my workbook—it will accompany the book currently in the editing process. I’ve also designed the cover. Next week, I’ll read through the manuscript.
