We have been growing like crazy here, and attracting so many new members. I want to give you the opportunity to share what it is that you do. Don't overthink it. Just sum up what you do in a simple sentence below. ⬇️ If you find someone's post that is interesting to you, strike up a conversation!

Plot Delayed. Beard Advancing.
Right, KDP Authors — small update from the trenches (and tropics). The cyber-crime trilogy is still very much alive… but I’m officially pushing the heavy writing phase from June to November. Why? Because I’m currently living in Vietnam, building out my Skool community, and doing the unglamorous but necessary work of PTSD recovery. Turns out healing + heat + decent coffee requires a slightly different pacing model than “lock myself in and smash 5k words a day.” Speaking of pacing… I’m also considering re-adopting my COVID lockdown grooming strategy. No barbers. No shaving. No mirrors with opinions. If that happens, don’t be surprised if an image like this resurfaces in about six months. At one point people said I looked like Hemingway. I’ll take that comparison. I’ll also happily take his book royalties if anyone knows where to collect those. For now, it’s slow build, long game: • Vietnam life • community first • trilogy later • beard… pending threat assessment Onward.

Letting A Book Guide My Year
🌟This year, I’m taking some powerful advice from Jen Gottlieb. She’s a bestselling author📓 and professional speaker, but what she does best is capture attention and help people step into visibility. I’m listening to her book Be Seen on Audible for the second time, and it’s all about getting out of your comfort zone, putting yourself in front of people, and confidently sharing the work you’re doing and the impact you’re making. 🙌 I’ve had the opportunity to attend a few of her events, and her energy is unmatched. But what really matters is this: it was at her event that I felt inspired to do this—to teach others how to self-publish books so they can create real opportunities for themselves, including becoming Amazon bestsellers, even without a large audience. 💥“Being seen” is a big goal for me this year. In the past, I played small, dimmed my light, and stayed quiet. That’s changing. I’m pushing myself to do more live events, show up more consistently on social media, and put myself out there for podcast opportunities. The more people understand what I’m building, the more this community can grow—and the more support, ideas, collaboration, and opportunities I can bring back to all of you. If this post nudges you to move forward on your own goals, that’s a win. 👉 Is there a book guiding you as you move into 2026? Drop it below—I’d love to grab the audiobook and listen along.

@Krista Brea It really is. Less hallucination, you can turn your text into ingographics or podcast. Worth giving it a try

@Krista Brea I'm so curious to know how you do that
Curious about Publisher Rocket? 🚀
I just put together a YouTube video breaking down why I think Publisher Rocket is a valuable tool for self-publishers — especially if you’re trying to choose the right keywords before you write your book. If you’ve been on the fence about it or wondering whether it’s actually worth using, this will help you decide. If you're interested in grabbing the tool this is my affiliate link - 👇 Watch the video below and let me know what you think once you’re done.

First of all, I love your background (the wall attracts attention and is beautiful). My Publisher Rocket has been collecting dust because I wasn’t consistent with publishing and, honestly, I never fully understood how to use the tool. This year, though, I’ve decided to focus on building digital assets. That means no more publishing and hoping for the best. I want to do solid research before writing, exactly as you suggest. That said, I already have a manuscript that’s about 80% finished. I feel the need to publish it to close a certain chapter of my life. Is there anything useful I can still do at this stage?

@Krista Brea Thank you, there's hope 😉
Community Name / Feedback Requested
I originally named this group (KDP publishing) which is how you self publish on Amazon, but it has been brought to my attention that not everyone knows what "KDP" means and it can create some friction for targeting the audience I want to target right now. What do you think if I switched the group name to something simple like "Book Publishing" this way it is clear and everyone understands immediately what the group is about, and can help people who are brand new to self publishing get started. Of course I wanted your feedback before I make any immediate changes. 🥰
