What should we name our cat mascot?
My kids named our two fluffy black cats Squid (because he's black like ink) and Dove (because of the little cooing sound she made when she was a kitten; she now sounds more like a squawking vulture πŸ˜‚). What do you think is a good name for our Historical Fiction Club cat? [Edited to add: I'll create a poll on Monday 25th so we can decide.]

Canadian historical fiction
Does anybody have a recommendation on a historical fiction book set in Canada?

Joel, you might try mine. Mirrors & Smoke, set in early Upper Canada (Ontario) incorporating the War of 1812. I haven't got a blurb in the Author Directory yet but am working on one.

@Joel Harris if you're in Canada you can order from Indigo (paperback) or Kobo (e-book). It's also on Amazon in both formats, and the audiobook is so far only on Audible. The paperback is print-on-demand. I recommend that since it has some maps that are harder to see on the e-book format.
It's Friday again already?! What are you reading this weekend?
I'm reading The Shining by Stephen King. What are you reading (title + author, please)?

This Way Up (when maps go wrong & why it matters) by Mark Cooper-Jones & Jay Foreman aka MapMen.

Happy Mother's Day (in North America) this weekend to those of you who celebrate! I'm currently reading our group read book, Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke β€” which is about a tradwife/mother social media influencer who wakes up in 1855. It's excellent so far! What are you reading right now, as we head into the weekend?

Book cat?
Once you reach a new level, how & where do you update? And is there an easy way to access the list of members at each level?

@Zena Ryder I'll have a look around & ask for more if I need it, thanks.
