Mobile Modular Case Dimensions
For all of you that travel with your Eurorack systems. What case do you use? I'm thinking about making a suitcase model, 104HP wide, 7u tall. 86hp feels a bit cramped, I think.

I bought an old suitcase and made a construction in it. Works great and easy for travel Allthough a bit too big to be honest.

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam Absolutely, think a bit out of the case ehhhh box I mean, my experience is that you always change modules and it never fits ๐Ÿ˜‡
Any new year's resolutions? ๐Ÿ˜„
It's 2026 already! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Time flies! I hope you had a good holiday season. Do you have any new year's resolutions for your music? Like finishing that album you've always wanted to. (me ๐Ÿ˜…) Or fine tuning your live setup. Maybe re-wiring your studio. Or collaborating with someone else?

Happy New Year! I had some time off and cleaned up the studio. Planned to work a bit on the modular system but unfortunately didnโ€™t had time enough. Would be great to have a jam session with a broader group so letโ€™s see what 2026 brings. I found this cool hack: https://youtube.com/shorts/bMRxcOm1v14?si=83XXcogJnvhL_jya Adriaan
Do you use a Mixer in your setup?
I've been using analog mixers in my setups ever since I started with music production. No fancy studer, ssl, or neve consoles, just a box with lots of inputs, outputs, and routing options. I find having every synth, effect, or drum computer accessible by just opening up a fader is such an incredible time saver. The option to sum multiple inputs and record with effects is something I simply can't live without. I just bought a Mackie VLZ4 16 for live performances. There's no time to scroll through menus in a live situation. I need to find my kick drum in a fraction of a second. Actually, building up muscle memory to blindly know where to find each instrument is one of the most important things, in my opinion, for playing live. Dub mixing is also something I'd love to do, just add a delay and reverb on a send, return it to a channel, and create feedback loops. You can do this with any analog mixing desk. Do you use a mixer in your live or studio setup? Why or why not?

In my modular setup I have a 6 channel mixer from After Later and this works fine.

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam Yes me2, 2 smaller and simpler mixers to combine signals which works great
Any drone lovers out there?
Besides Berlin Shool style and Ambient , I love drones. Have a CPM DS-2 but I also like using my ancient Pittsburgg Model 10 as well as other systems. Looking forward to the CPM DF-8 as beside the DS-2 I can use those filters and LFO with my semi and modular. systems. Even stand alone.

I using a Befaco Oneiroi for my drones generation. Very nice results.
