Spending money like this still makes me nervous sometimes ☀️
Today, I invested another $1,354 back into the business because I believe deeply in what I am building for the long term. ☀️ This payment is 50% down on manufacturing 1,000 copies of my Illuminate Mental Health Journal. Spending money like this still makes me nervous sometimes, even now. But I’m learning that growing a business often requires intentionally reinvesting in the vision. Not random spending. Not panic spending. Intentional reinvesting. That can look like: ☀️ paying for inventory before you know exactly how it will sell ☀️ hiring coaches to help you stop guessing and improve faster ☀️ investing in ads so more people discover your work ☀️ purchasing software and tools that save time and mental energy ☀️ building better systems instead of constantly operating in chaos ☀️ creating stronger experiences and support for your community members ☀️ taking risks on products you believe can genuinely help people I’m also really grateful today because I crossed $5,000 in lifetime Skool affiliate income. That happened slowly over time through conversations, sharing resources I genuinely use, collaborations, and recommending communities I believe in. Thank you to every single person who has ever used one of my links, joined a community, supported my work, purchased a journal, or simply encouraged me along the way. Truly. This means more to me than you probably realize. And next up? A 0% interest Kiva loan to continue building strategically instead of from panic. Slow and steady. Intentional. One layer at a time. That’s the kind of business I am building. What about you? It’s a good day to have a good day.

☀️ Taking Time Off? Check In Here.
I want this to become an ongoing thread inside Income Without Burnout. Post here anytime you are intentionally stepping back from business to prioritize your real life, health, family, rest, hobbies, travel, fun, or simply slowing down for a bit. Tell us: ☀️ What you’re doing ☀️ How long you’re slowing down for ☀️ What’s bringing you joy lately ☀️ What you’re learning about balance, rest, or life outside of work I think we need to normalize this more publicly as entrepreneurs. Not every successful person is working nonstop. Not every productive season looks intense. And honestly, many of us built our businesses because we wanted more life… not less. This community is about building income without burnout. That means making space for: ☀️ vacations ☀️ lazy weekends ☀️ walks ☀️ hobbies ☀️ family dinners ☀️ mental health days ☀️ time in nature ☀️ naps ☀️ celebrations ☀️ doing absolutely nothing sometimes So whenever you take a break, come post here and let us celebrate that with you too. ❤️

I took a whole year of Sabatical in 2024, which gave me clarity on how I want to live my life and business as I was burned out and couldn't function 😅 So, for sure, taking time to rest is very important.

@Mk Duma I were home and resting. That was the time when I started thinking of transferring everything online. 😊
Working On An Email Strategy
I'm working on putting together an email strategy because if I'm being real, I've neglected my email list for way too long and I know it's been a huge missed opportunity. I've had Go High Level for years and haven't been taking advantage of it the way I should. I currently have 2,000+ contacts sitting on my email list, and I never really built a consistent system around it. Now that segmentation has gotten easier inside Go High Level, I'm finally starting to dig in. I love that I can create custom segments while building campaigns instead of having to build everything in advance. My goal isn't to just blast random emails. I want to create a strategy around: • Encouraging people to level up inside my community • Inviting people into my community • Recommending tools and resources • Providing value while creating curiosity Right now I'm trying to figure out my sending cadence. I'm thinking maybe 3 emails per week to start. For those of you who actively email your list: How often are you sending emails? What have you found works without overwhelming people? This version keeps your original message but gives it more flow and ends with a stronger discussion prompt so you get comments instead of just reactions.

I have also neglected my email list for a long time. Thinking about how to get on with it, the strategy and all, I have Mailerlite. What are the benefits of being on Substack? So many things to consider how to make the most of the list 😅

Play the long game
One thing I keep reminding myself lately: Most meaningful things take longer than we think. Building a business. Growing an audience. Improving your health. Paying off debt. Creating products people trust. Becoming the kind of person you want to become. The internet rewards fast highlights, but real life is usually slower, quieter, and more repetitive than that. A lot of the “overnight success” stories are really just people who stayed in the game long enough. The hard part is not usually starting. It’s continuing when the results feel delayed. Play the long game anyway.
