UFC 250 was a wild night of fights. Lots of knockouts. Definitely some lopsided matchups as well. Fully entertaining. Especially the last two title fights. I actually live in DC and couldve seen the fights closer up - but the crowd was too crazy! So I just hung out with my friends at a bar Sunday night and had a great time. Also we were completely WRONG on the main event fights, placing our bets on Alex Peirera and Ilia Topuria to get their wins. Looking back though, I can see why we were wrong: - Alex gained too much weight and became slow, Ciryl Gane is a comfortable heavyweight while staying light and fast (Also INSANE number of back of the head elbows Ciryl gave to Alex that the ref didn't call out) - Ilia was putting too much emphasis on getting the knockout early rather than playing the game patiently and respecting Justin. And Justin is legitimately bigger and more durable and give punishment just as bad if not worse. Huge upsets but I'm actually happy for Justin Gaethje winning the title after a long crazy career and doing a backflip after beating an unbeaten opponent in front of the White House - that is truly peak ๐ What do you guys think?
