MONDAY MINDSET
Unfortunately LIFE doesn’t hand out free lessons. I know how frustrating it feels when things don’t go your way. When progress feels slow and the lesson feels heavy. It’s easy to think you’re failing. Experience has taught me that those moments aren’t punishment, they’re payment, your entry fee. Payment for growth, wisdom, and resilience. What we all want is progress without pain. But real growth comes from leaning into the lesson, not running from it. Reflect. Adjust. Apply. Move forward stronger. 👉 What lesson is life teaching you right now — and how will you use it?

Really interesting concept Jonathan, most people also see, temporary failure as totally fatal consequences, and not willing to try again as the saying goes out of ones greatest failure an equal opportunity will be presented, however most people are too focused on the failure to see it!

Hey Everyone
I'm Alison and I live just outside London, nr Watford, and I'm really excited to join the community. Firstly I'd like to give a big shout out to @Callum Smith who onboarded me on the Property Business Accelerator, and @Lawrence Reffell on the Commercial Conversions course. Thank you both so much. I currently work part time as a teacher in a place of worship with kids that come on school trips and whilst I enjoy what I do and am good at it, I know there's more for me, and have done for a long time. I am new to property investment, well at least this time round. 27 yrs ago after graduating from a nearby town, I moved to Liverpool, got a 30k mortgage, and was renting out rooms to cover it. I became really inspired by new developments going up by a company called Urban Splash (who became really successful), and in my mind, that's what I was gonna do. I decided to get a second house on a rent to buy basis. Things didn't go as planned, I ended up back at the first one in negative equity for years and eventually sold it for a profit. In the midst of all this, I fell in love with one of my tenants, had 4 kids and lived happily ever after. Well not exactly, but my life just went in a very different direction. Anyway, throughout these years since, I've always wanted to be in charge of my own business or project, but held myself back and now I feel my life has gone full circle and the spark for property investment and development has been reignited, and I'm raring to go! My WHYS? Yes, I want freedom to do what I want, when I want to do it, and that includes 'retiring' before someone else says I can. But I also want to give back to my friends and family, and most of all, show an example of transformation to my now 4 young adult kids. I'm so looking forward to getting educated about wealth creation that goes beyond doing well at school, and getting a good job. Also to being supported to getting great deals for myself and investors but most of all, to connecting within this community. I am interested to learn about all aspects of property investment, but particularly deal packaging, buy to lets, commercial conversions and supported social housing.

Building an investment strategy
Happy Boxing day to everyone. I would like some advice on building a strategy and plan that I can activate early in the new year. I have some funds to invest although I have been looking at several ways to use refinance once the property is completed and rented out. Can anyone give me some examples such as look for BMV purchases renovate and rent out refinance and then move on to next project. Any support would be welcome and appreciated guys and I hope you all had a great Christmas!
