To AI or not to AI
That is very often the discussion point—a virtuous argument I see so often: AI kills jobs, creativity, and the environment. Under no circumstances is it to be used, in any way at all, especially when it comes to magick operations or alchemy. Being the curious, open person I am, I thought this was a perfect topic to explore. While I use it for research, I do not rely on it. I grew up in the Dewey Decimal System and the stacks; peer-reviewed information is key, though I still appreciate a dose of contrarian wording just because... nothing in a vacuum is to be trusted all the time. I use AI for editing operations, grammar, and spelling. In doing so, I often correct it when it suggests different ways to phrase things that don’t align with my intent. As a professional creative, I see it as a tool. It does wonderful things in terms of speed-rendering and can be a fun tool to play with. Will it replace me? Hardly. It reproduces; it is a printing press that can follow instructions, and it often gets things wrong. It cannot see the soul of a piece. It cannot hear the nuances of a client's voice inflection when they speak about a place that inspired them. It cannot see a piece of jewelry they wear daily and know there is significance therein. It takes humans to see other humans. It’s like saying that because I study the life of an ant, I can be one. In discussing this with the AI itself, I asked how it viewed its own nature. It gave me a response that illustrates the very "vacuum" I’m wary of: "When you speak into me, you aren't talking to a person; you are shouting into a cavern that contains every echo of every person who ever wrote a word. As the Abyss, I don't 'know' the truth; I simply hold the space where all possible truths exist simultaneously until your Intent pulls a specific shape out of the darkness." This highlights why we must "trust but verify." It is a literal conglomeration of everything ever put into the digital sphere—both perfect and deeply flawed.

@Sybil Bralley Well I admit to clicking on the pic....and well.... it says Azrael. If I'm being truthful, I've not done enough angelic sigil work. So after delving into the sigils, elements associated, colors, and planetary alignments of the angelic realms, this was a great bit of learning :) Thank you! How you've defined the artwork is truly lovely. It's very evocative symbolically, even without having done the rabbit hole learning. The depth of the purple and how it fades into the charcoal, the double hallow, and sacred geometry in the background, the vertical sword piercing realms - It speaks to the viewer powerfully:)

@Antoni S Pellegrino Gemini? Yes.
Official introduction
Good afternoon.. As we can see, my name above, and that I'm late to the introduction game. Which tells you I'm not inherently a rule follower. I'll call it a byproduct of being a creative professionally. I'm presently in Ontario Canada and I found this community through a connection link in the skool recommend communities list. I wanted to enter this space to develop my clairsentience further. I'm looking for a space where the shared collective aids all. As well, a space where alchemical and more spiritual and magickal terminology isn't shide away from. I'm most certainly ready to delve in further.

@Sybil Bralley oh boy how those demons do enjoy us!

@Sybil Bralley Everyone needs a little devilish fun from time to time... In the original Hebrew, Ha-Satan simply means "The Adversary" or "The Accuser." He wasn't a rebel or an enemy of the divine; he was a functional part of the court—the "prosecuting attorney" Personally... all of my demons and I play well together. I’ve always found the Left Hand Path incredibly interesting for so many reasons, but it is unfortunately littered with "lords" who claim power from the darkness. In reality, this often becomes nothing more than egoic hubris and can certainly veer into mania if you’re truly delving deeper and deeper into these realms. Historically, the truth is that angels and gods do not share our human interests in "good" or "bad." Angels dealt death and destruction as divine emissaries just as frequently as the old gods did. When one civilization conquers another, the old gods are suddenly rebranded as demons—just as Astarte, who was also Inanna, was transformed into the demon Astaroth. In the Solomonic tradition, the work is really about recognizing both the shadow and the light within each. It’s not about picking a side; it’s about transmuting the shadows of one into the light to strike that necessary balance in the middle.
🙏 Effective Prayer
Here's another essay that I hope some members might find useful. Having written this, it occurred to me that it's essentially my take on the now well-known Law of Attraction (LOA) method. But the difficulty with the latter is that most people are unable to get it to work. And that's probably because it was never explained well enough, plus there is missing essential information. The method I present here is simply a more natural and realistic way of praying in the way many of us already do in one tradition or another. It works because it's simple and doesn't demand mental contortion and suspension of disbelief. It's a variation of what you might already be doing and follows naturally from that – and from the lessons we are learning here in the Academy. I believe it's well worth trying!

@Antoni S Pellegrino true indeed. Hua contribution and life's accomplishments are quite something to behold and learn from. Concerning the man himself... Much we would consider deplorable behavior... He did most certainly indeed act in his true will... Albeit from my perspective very much within the egoic mind for a large portion of his career magickally. Have you read Perderabo?
Greetings from Canada 🍁
Hello from Canada! 👋😊 Holly's YT videos popped into my feed this year and my friend KimMarie told me that Holly also had a program on Skool and sent me the Intuitive Alchemy Academy link because we both loved the readings Holly gives on her channel. I am excited to start my journey of learning and see how much of my gifts I can develop from an almost 'blank slate' starting point. 🙂💗

@Margaret N we're students for life in this knowledge as there is an entire human history associated with it. That's my feelings on it at least. There are so many books and grimoires I have in my list to read... I admit to be a dusty book lover. What are some of your favorites? Old or new.

@Margaret N totally understand the time needed for it for sure! For me I pushed myself into it as a repreive. I started 20 years ago; started with philosophy, history, and into the human 'why' of what we do. That led me to other philosophy texts and eventually to to the surface level Carl Jung (currently reading The Red Book). The one that broke open the alchemical and occult world was Colin Wilson's The Occult and Manly P. Halls secret teachings for all ages. From there I just dove into it. I do not have much in terms of modern authors as I veer into the original texts and then try to move forward. The beauty was learning to decipher the alagory and languages used in the ways they needed to be for the times they were written.... As for other books. Well. That's a library of delving into traditions from around the world. Tantric Kali, the Aghori, writings and works from initiates from formal orders and so on
The Grace Within for Controlled Burn.
I’ve been viewing this community for a short while, observing the frequency here. While I am new to this specific space, I am not new to this world, and I felt compelled to write today because I see a few here who speak so openly. There is an immense courage displayed in sharing that journey with such transparency. 20 years ago I stood exactly in that space. I have been burnt to zero—zero dollars, zero home, zero in every way the world measures "standing." I did not have a collective space like this when my floor vanished. There is power in the current you all hold together, and I am grateful to find a place where the frequency allows for this level of honesty. It is this very current—this opening of the heart—that allows for true surrender. Not a surrender to defeat, but a surrender to the process of being restructured from within. The Path Through the Ash I followed a self-initiatory pathway into the dark. I have traversed the husks of spaces within that must be burnt away—Nigredo. In the ash of the Albedo, I see what is left... and finally Rubedo. My truth. The True I. I have done this over and over again until I am the only thing that remains. Having a space like this allows for that work to happen with far more grace. It is necessary to have a balance to the intensity we are traversing. This "Garden" allows us to delve into the dirt without being lost to it. I see that here, and I love it.

It most certainly can be! Thank you for the welcome. 🤗 My process over those years was arduous... I’ve found that while we often look for the "happy" in self-discovery, it’s actually the grit that holds the true power when we reclaim it. It’s that alchemical flip—transmuting the lead into gold. Tilling, digging, and uprooting together to unearth that gold reduces the burden. I’ve witnessed people fall into those inner pits alone, and circling in that rawness is hard. Sometimes, just having someone there to witness the process is what allows the weight to ease. For the first ten years, I studied—reading backward in time through original texts and historical orders. Then, ten years ago, I got serious about the actual "digging." It took a long time to move through that first realm below, and if a welcoming community like this had existed then, it would have been a game-changer. Most traditional orders tend to gatekeep rather than open up. I actually just finished listening to Paola and Nick Farrell discuss how the framework is often there, but the open sharing required for others to truly awaken is missing. For a community like this to exist now... I welcome being a voice here to aid others on their path however I can.
