Hiya music fam. I havnt spent intentional time with my looper like i had initially planned. Im sure it will flow in, for now i surfed the wave i caught, which has been playing lots of guitar and creating lots of other art and written creations. Just allowing myself to stay in flow. I rarely have to “push” myself to stretch beyond my boundaries and “practice” and sometimes i have to push myself in certain directions if that makes sense. Anyways. I love you.
Quick update about Melody
I want to share a bit of clarity about where Melody is headed. We’re still finishing out the 31-day challenge together, just as planned. Nothing is changing about that. At the same time, I’ve updated the About page and added a new Welcome / Start Here post to reflect what Melody is becoming after the challenge ends. What is becoming apparent to me is that Melody works better as an intentional weekly practice, rather than a long-term challenge or ongoing update space. Each week will have: - one simple prompt - one small piece of music (short, finished, human) - one shared rhythm we all move to The rhythm stays the same. The experience changes every week. Some weeks the prompt might be a strange constraint. Some weeks it might involve where you play, how you listen, or who you imagine you’re playing as. The point isn’t variety for its own sake—it’s giving your brain a reason to pay attention and remember. Once the 31 days are complete, Melody will transition into this steady weekly format, and eventually into a paid space—mainly to protect the rhythm and keep it alive long-term. The intention is to serve the best of what this community could be. For now, there’s nothing you need to do differently. Just keep showing up to the challenge, making small pieces, and practicing alongside each other. If you’re curious about what’s coming next, the updated About page and Welcome post will give you a feel for it. More soon—no rush. Grateful to be making music with you all 🎼

Goals check in
Alright so my goals this month are to work on my looping skill. I just picked up a midi and i spent the last few days getting things all connected and experimenting. My goal by the end of the month is to be able to compose songs, existing and new ones, on the fly with multiple instruments being introduced

Merry new year! Reminder: Today is DAY ONE of the instrument challenge! Have you played your instrument or sung today for 15 minutes? If so, write down your progress and prosper. If not.. There’s still time to bring music into your day 🎶 1. Set 1-3 goals to complete over the course of the month. 2. Show up honestly every day for at least 15 mins. if you miss one, just keep going. 3. Track your progress (post here, write in the notes app, scribble in your notebook, make a video, etc.)

Day 1 check
A 31-Day Practice Invitation 🔥🎸
Music lives through attention. Through hands on strings. Through breath, time, and repetition. ———————————————————— This is an invitation to show up and play every day. For 31 days, we practice a minimum of 15 minutes daily. That’s the only non-negotiable. ———————————————————— The goal isn’t improvement. It isn’t perfection. Its presence. ———————————————————— I’ll be here each day, checking in and practicing alongside you. We’ll keep it simple: a daily log of how long you practiced and what you touched. A few words is enough. 20 mins — Crazy Train solo. Done. Miss a day? You don’t restart. You just keep going. Who this is for? Anyone who wants: - A little structure without pressure - Consistency without rigidity - Community around a shared practice - To remember why they picked up their instrument in the first place ——————————————— All instruments. All levels. ——————————————— Why I’m doing this? Because practice deepens when it’s shared. Because I need this rhythm too. Because it’s all practice. And yes — it’s free. ——————————————— How to join: Comment “I’m in” or message me. I’ll add you to the accountability list. No performance. No proving. Just showing up. Let’s play. 🎶
