Quite honestly, I'm too new to AI to feel like I am ready to pay for any specific AI services. That said, if I can get access to something to explore, I'm interested. So far, I've been limiting my activity to locally hosted free AI tools for exploration. I'm finally making my gaming GPU do something "productive" beyond high res/high fps entertainment.

I suspect it will be a mixed bag. Obviously, for military and business purposes it will be a help. However, I do not believe that society as a whole has the ethical and moral maturity for AI not to be used to cause harm. Also, I have concerns that as we become more reliant on AI, we will become more lazy in thought and creativity and we may well lose our connection to each other. I believe it is imperative that we remain focused on the uniqueness of humanity and explore what makes humans so cool and dare I say it powerful. Creatives and the true artists out there will become even more important to add to the diversity of cultural works and model training. Hopefully, the beauty of humanity and human connection can be expanded with less focus on repetitive tasks and manual labor. I'm hopeful AI becomes helpful, but the potential for negative impact is great, especially when so much of society's focus is on financial gain with limited or no concern for the impact to social welfare. Still, fingers crossed!
