Summary of Tuesday Salesforce Training Session – 9th December 2025 - We were introduced to weekly Salesforce training sessions, resources, the school community platform, and job opportunities. - The importance of communication skills in tech roles was emphasized; everyone is encouraged to participate and ask questions. - Weekly session schedules and group assignments were clarified—our group meets every Tuesday, with flexibility to attend other sessions. - Demonstrated how to use AI-powered session recordings and the “Ask Fred” tool for lesson summaries and questions. - Discussed what Salesforce is, its CRM/cloud functions for sales, marketing, support, and finance. - Explained Salesforce as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). - Clarified the difference between Salesforce tabs and objects; tabs are the visual access points to objects. - Fields (within objects) are like spreadsheet columns that store records. - Covered Salesforce Administrator roles: user management, data integrity, security, and problem-solving (handling internal tickets and errors). - Explained profiles, roles, and user management—including example scenarios and practical points (e.g., users can only be deactivated, not deleted). - Stressed the importance of documenting learning progress by making posts in the community. - Encouraged prioritizing study time on the platform and consistent class participation. - Shared links to Trailhead modules and discussed Salesforce career paths. - Assignments: Complete the first three Trailhead Salesforce Admin modules and post learning feedback in the community.
