@Irshaad Busawon if you have any friend or family living there its your best bet. Otherwise you could use the addresses available in premium.

@Irshaad Busawon there are proper residential address providers such as Savvy Nomad. It costs around $3180/ year.
I don’t understand the Amex Platinum hype
Can someone explain the Amex Platinum value to me? I had the Middle East Platinum before, and I honestly didn’t get the hype. Rewards? Similar to cheaper Amex cards. Concierge? Sounds fancy, but Booking, Expedia, or Google usually do it faster and cheaper. Lounge access? Nice, but many cheaper cards already offer it. Hotel status? Also nice, but statuses stay even after cancelling the card. The US Platinum gives 5x on travel, but then you’re pushed into using their portal, where prices can be 10%+ higher. So congratulations, you earned points and paid more for them upfront 😅. The Middle East Platinum feels even harder to justify: premium-card pricing with a diet version of the benefits. Am I missing something, or is the real benefit just the metal card and pretending the concierge is a personal butler?

@John Flack I agree with the bonus and then I cancel it afterwards.

@Eric Wesker so the selling point is that “its difficult to get”?
Capital One Account closed?
Was recently approved for Capital One platinum one secure, it was still being created yesterday, when I logged in a few minutes ago it said "ACCOUNT CLOSED", under that it says "This account is currently restricted". Did I get shutdown? I didn't even receive the card yet. Update: Got a letter stating "We are closing this account because Capital One has observed activity on one or more of your Capital One accounts that is inconsistent with typical customer account usage."

Honestly I would still call them and ask about the reason and tell them that I didn't even receive the card yet.
Capitalone approved, Quicksilver 500$ unsecured and closed 2 days thereafter
Recently I received my ITIN with the help of Taxsym, which was very good experience. After a quick chat with @Ain - Cloud Resident and studying the classroom (as premium member), I gave C1 pre approval a shot. What a bummer - no offers! Just dont take no as an answer so I tried again after some days passed, and like magic 2 offers appeared this time. Platinum secured and Quicksilver unsecured. So I grab the quicksilver offer, request for the usual passport and itin paper and getting approved for 500$ unsecured limit 2 days later. Thanks to @Ain - Cloud Resident and the community, theres some solid stuff here. Edit: card was shipped but on the same day account got closed without any extra activity on my side.

That's painful @Stefan Bar , but don’t take it as a failure. The people who face the most bumps in the beginning of the road usually become the strongest and end up building the strongest credit files.
Getting Amex is easy. Surviving Amex is the real game
Getting approved for Amex is easy. Staying with Amex… is the real game. --- A lot of people get their first Amex and stop there. They think: “I made it” --- But now your entire profile is: 1 card 1 bank 0 depth --- That’s exactly what makes you risky. --- Because from Amex’s side: There’s no comparison No external history No context --- So even normal behavior looks suspicious: - spending too fast - high utilization - mismatch with income --- And that’s how you get hit with Financial Review. --- Here’s what I personally recommend: **Before increasing spend on Amex, open at least ONE non-Amex tradeline** - Visa / Mastercard from another bank - a credit union account --- Then use Amex normally. --- This way: You’re not dependent You look more “real” And your profile has depth --- Don’t just get approved. Build a profile that doesn’t get questioned.

@James H yes global transfer helps a lot, but I also wouldn't keep all my eggs in one basket. Having a strong profile helps a lot even when banks rely on their internal evaluation for the most part.
