Let's Celebrate The Celebrant
Let's all welcome @Beth Macleod to our group! Beth hails from the UK, and is a Celebrant for weddings. She has introduced herself in the Start Here Category. I've asked her to give us a micro lesson on what a Celebrant actually does as I'm not familiar with that job....you can find it in the NEW Guest Pros Category! More on that later as I'm running out the door!

Baby it's Cold Outside
With winter around the corner, how fun would it be to have a Hot Chocolate bar at your reception? This could be a great addition if you're having a non-alcohol reception or even if you just wanted something sweet for the kiddos! Pro tip: Ask the venue if you could provide this yourself. It could save $$ if you don't have to pay the venue for this ...sweeten the deal by offering to set it all up! What are some other unique beverage ideas you've seen at weddings or are you planning something special?

Oh yes, a Hot Chocolate bar sounds amazing! 🍫☕ I love that idea, especially for a winter wedding both kids and adults would enjoy it. Another fun twist I’ve seen is a coffee or tea bar with flavored syrups and toppings. Adds a cozy, personal touch without breaking the bank!
Choosing bridesmaids?
I'm just curious...how do you narrow it down to 5 besties when you've got 10? Pro tip on choosing: seasons of life circle....these are your gals who have been there for major life chapters. Examples include childhood, college classes, first heartbreak! And for those that are just as perfect but dont fit this season, give them other jobs! This could be arranging the Bachelorette party or helping with day of to dos!

Love this tip! 🌸 Seasons of life really do help you see who’s been there through the biggest chapters. And giving others special roles is such a smart way to include everyone!
The countdown is on...
@Shanna Prestenback is counting the last minute to dos before her daughter's wedding this weekend! Last minute advice....pack an emergency just in case bag! (It's a destination wedding) This should include safety pins, Bobby pins, boob tape, super glue, hot glue AND gun, bandaid and anything else you can think of!! Im sure our resident day of coordinating @Christine Berencz could share some stories!

Great advice! 🙌 A “just in case” bag is a lifesaver you never know when you’ll need safety pins, tape, or even a little glue. Wishing your daughter an amazing wedding weekend! 💕
Wedding Welcome Sign Hack
We've all seen the stunning, all-out versions: the full-length mirrors dripping with fresh florals, the fancy decal letters, the gorgeous antique finds. While those are beautiful, they can seriously drain the budget. but did you know one of the quickest and most inexpensive options is to design your own and print it at your local Walgreens or CVS? Seriously, I've used this hack many times!! Here's how: The most common sign size is 16x20. Head over to Canva (yes, even the free version works). Search for a wedding sign template, pick one you love, and edit it to your heart's content with your names and wedding date! Once it looks perfect, save your design. Go to the website for Walgreens or CVS and upload your design through their Photo section. Look for the option to print a poster or photo print in the 16x20 size. ALWAYS look for coupons! These stores constantly run promotions. You could snag a gorgeous, high-quality Welcome Sign for as low as $10! 🤯 Now you just need a frame! Check out craft stores like Hobby Lobby—they always have frames on sale, even 50% off! Boom! You just created a stunning, personalized wedding detail without breaking the bank! Last step...put those savings toward that honeymoon! Below are some examples Ive used! And yes you can switch colors, elements, etc!
