@Vance Tenort I think I have heard this. Probably from top music attorney. Universal also bought CD Baby. Also Distro kid is up for sale. This is a bit 😬 too. They could see more profit in enbold us as Indie artists. They also could use this to try harder to choke us out. 🐕 It all depends on what they "believe" will achieve a better profit for them. The interesting thing right now is all of these communities happening where the I die artists are supporting each other. It's crazy it took so long for that to happen. It's about the only way to survive anymore. Indies sticking together as a community is a lot harder to hold down than a bunch of scattered artists out for themselves alone. This is a lot of why I believe so much it what @Berlin RedluX is trying to do here. This is important stuff. The fact I have even a small corner that looks forward to whatever my band does next is pretty special. And unexpected. We create just because we hear these things and no one else is doing it. So seeing that it means something to even one person means the world. Hearing others do the same is inspiring to keep going. The same can be said of us as audio engineers. It's not easy doing any of this in the audio world. And the system in place is always a difficult one to get anywhere in. But while the road still looks treacherous I also have faith the there is a change for the better right around the corner. If anything shows in life is things are always changing.

@Vance Tenort 😄
Thanks for your Patience
As we go thru the adjustments in Platform, Mentors, and Other misc changes in our Membership program, I would first like to thank all of you for your patience, and let you know that everything we are doing is with the intention of making better for you, the members. On our end, we will always have to deal with the normal "life get's in the way" issues, such as personnel changes, curriculum improvements, schedule conflicts, and even the birth of future musicians and engineers (congrats @Luke Despain and @Damian Baca on your babies) Please take the time to check out the Calendar for schedule changes in Mentor Times and Events. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me, or come to the Town Hall on Mondays. If you have any suggestions on how we can help you better, please DM me those too. We look forward to helping each of you move forward through your journey in your education. If you are a VIP or are looking to upgrade to a VIP membership, please look at the poll and give us your thoughts on times for the mentor calls - We are happy you are here (The poll is based on Eastern Time ... answer accordingly)
