I'm catching up! I downloaded all of them so far from YouTube. I'm working on basic walking and the flowing set. My balance is definitely challenged, but it's coming back. Thank you, Laoshi Sonny!
DIY PVC dummy
I'm a little proud of this: My first attempt at a mukyanyong! The arms are concentric PVC pipes with a threaded rod running through, and I drilled some extra holes for tent stakes around the base. The arms are too short and too low, and there's just a little more flex in the post than I want. The next one will have better caps on the arms. I'll also wrap the middle with my white belt and the lower part with dock line for shin kicks. I'll make a bill of materials once I get it straight.

Sticky foot sweep 黏足扫
这个黏足扫和中国跤的搓窝有些类似但又不太一样,更像是一个失败的出足扫的补救策略。 This sticky foot sweep is somewhat similar to the "搓窝" (cuō wō) technique in Chinese wrestling, yet not exactly the same. It resembles more of a recovery maneuver for a failed De-ashi-harai.

I dig it! It looks kind of like hooking and then driving with the knee, which brings lots of power. Definitely a hot tip for me, since most of my de ashi attempts fail! Haha

Big fan of the tip, using the fingers to remind us where the back should engage. I can walk again now, so I'll be working on that flowing set. I've even warned her that, once I learn the steps, my lady love will be working on it with me! I really enjoy doing mirrored sequences with her.
