Do we really need experiments/lab research for Science Fairs?
Hello, I am currently researching about "Korea's education system and its detrimental effects on Korean student's mental health". It is currently planned to be a literature review, and I am doing extensive research by reading books and articles. But I do have questions. I want to submit this to ISEF, and other science fairs that I would come across. Though my project is a noteworthy one, it is a literature review, which I don't see many people do in here and at other science fairs. So I was just curious if you guys have seen projects like mine which doesn't fit the conventional science fair topic. Do you think my research could be seen as a "science fair" topic? If not, what improvements could I make? Thank you!

Ok so you are right, a literature isn’t seen at ISEF for a good reason: no actual experimentation or development is being done. A literature review is impressive, but it should be only part of your project, not the entire project

How to learn machine learning for heat signatures?
For my science fair project, I need to learn how to make and code a camera that can detect trapped humans from long distances. I am thinking about using a Raspberry Pi for it, but I otherwise don’t know how to do it. Can you recommend some good free resources on how to learn this kind of machine learning? (Not going into much more detail because, yeah)

New $100 Contest for STEM Content
I will be giving $100 to whoever is #1 on the 7 day leaderboard on Skool in one week from today. On Thursday, August 22nd, at 2:00pm EST, I will look at the 7 day leaderboard and select the top person to give this award. Why? The Skool community is now officially indexed by Google, meaning that all of your posts are now bringing in new members online. I expect this to skyrocket our growth 🚀 To celebrate this huge win, I want to incentivize new posts created on the Skool. But how do you get to the top of the leaderboard? You need upvotes! To do this, engage with others via comments and new posts. It's truly anyone's game because 7 days from now will only include the next 7 days worth of posts! Time starts... now! Upvote farming (telling others to vote for you, or trading votes) is not allowed.
