Neuroscience Research Topics
Hello! It's been a long time since I was active in Rishab Academy because of school... But the reason I'm back is because of a project I'm starting: Research. This year, I've been really grinding my Neuroscience knowledge. Now, I'm determined to use it for real. For those that have completed neuroscience research, what are some topics I, a mere freshman, could take a dip at? I'm currently interested in these topics: Decoding of Mental representations using AI models, BCI, Neuroplasticity (some topics derived from https://rishabacademy.com/top-10-neuroscience-research-ideas-for-high-schoolers/, thanks rishabacademy!) So, since I'm still new to this, I want to keep my project small, yet still impactful. If you could, please provide some detailed explanations on what research I could do. Thank you all for helping me!
Webinar for our NPO w/ a guest psychologist
Hey guys! Quest4Clarity is thinking of hosting a webinar with a psychologist; was wondering how many people would be interested. Our topic would be breaking mental health stigmas (e.g. how to get more comfortable with talking about mental health with family, friends, etc.). Time: TBD after this poll (will check back in like 2-3 days)

@Emily Nguyen Neuroscience! So currently I'm reading a book called "Brain for numbers" which explains our so-called "number neurons". Other fields are dream research. When are you planning to hold the webinar?

How should I self-study ap comp gov?
THis isn't a subject my school offers, but I took it anyways because it is considered to be one of the easy AP's. For anyone who Took the exam, how should I self study? Like guide books, mcqs practice, etc.

Personal Project Skills!
Hey guys! I just wanted to share something I'm pretty happy about :) I completed a personal project a couple of weeks ago to develop skills for R programming! What I did was I took a binary dataset of samples with or without esophageal cancer (something pretty close to my family) and practiced creating Manhattan plots :) I probably should've found a better dataset, since this one uses Log2 Ratios instead of p-values, so I'll try editing my work a bit more Here's an example of one of the Manhattan plots. What do you think?

Wow, nice! If you want to share it with others through math animations, try learning manim(what I'm currently learning). Anyways, cool!
How's winter break?
Well for me its great. I got to finish watching the batman trilogy, finished writing some stuff... anyways here's my plan for my winter break until January: 1) Manim Most of you probably know 3b1b. He creates his video with manim(which he also created) and I'm planning to master it this winter break. 2) Reading I'm going to try to read more books about Korea's education system, and AI's implication for education in the future. 3) Human Behavioural Biology course I'm watching a youtube course about it, and its pretty fun! 4) Interview I'm preparing for an interview... trying to polish my skills(especially with the um's...) How's your winter break going? Share your plans below!
